Hello, my name is Damien Cure, I'm new to this whole dark culture thing. My primary purpose for delving into the depths is to gather information on things I have little prior knowledge of. This is what I do, I want information, so forgive me if I get too inquisitive at times. Let it be known I classify myself as a hunter of knowledge, nothing more and nothing less.
Aside from my thirst for knowledge, I like to consider myself a decent person, maybe not the kindest or most understanding to some but that is due to my having and adhering to my own guidelines in life. I'm always willing to listen if a friend has a problem, always willing to try new things so long as they don't conflict with the aforementioned guidelines I follow.
As far as interests are concerned mine are as follows:
Music: I'm interested in classical music, mostly piano and violin. My favorite composers are Johann Sebastien Bach, Frederic Francois Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Other than classical pieces, I like rock and anything else I can sink my claws into.
Art: I love art in all of its forms. Being an artist myself, I can see value and beauty, no matter how somber or morbid, in nearly any piece put before my eyes.
I am a writer, I may not be very good, but a write I am. My favorite themes to work with are Romantic Tragedy and Survival Horror. A recurring theme in my work is that my characters are often driven sane, very sane, by the revelations they come across, often turning them into the complete opposite of what they were, or just homicidal maniacs who believe they can save the world.
My favorite literary works are those by H.P. Lovecraft, I believe his stories are the basis of my adventure seeking, after all, if you're going into the unknown to find things you weren't meant to, why not look for something that will break your mind?
My personal favorite story is “The Rats In The Walls”, which is the tale of a man who returns to his ancestral roots only to discover the cannibalistic and kabbalistic interests of his forebears. This is a particularly disturbing story in that it manages to chill the reader to the bone with naught but revelation upon revelation; there are no bogeymen that jump from the abyss, simply knowledge that was not meant for a sane world.
I'm up for friends, connections, whatever.
Also, the tone of this profile is basically as professional as I can get, I tend to speak a little more casually, using a lot of cultural and local slang, just a heads up.
This is all for me, if you want to know more or have some piece of information I might be looking for, please don't hesitate to drop me a message.
