"The sea is emotion incarnate. It loves, hates, and weeps. It defies all attempts to capture it with words and rejects all shackles. No matter what you say about it, there is always that which you can’t." ~ Christopher Paolini
The word thalassí in Modern Greek (θαλασσί) means literally "sea colored." I have always loved the sea and being near the water, although I have never been one to swim in the ocean. I have always been inspired by the ceaseless movement of the ocean and the formlessness of its waters; its vastness almost beyond comprehension. The ocean is symbolic of universal life and is often thought to be source of the generation of all life.
Welcome to my small corner of Vampire Rave. I purposely choose not to share many personal details with people on this site until I get to know them better. This is because I am a very private person and do not wish for the details of my personal life to be the latest journal fodder for those on this site. I am an introvert, although those who know me both on the site and off the site tend to disagree with this statement, and I am reluctant to trust. Trust is something that must be earned over a period of time and is not freely given.
I have been called both a nice person and a mega bitch. I guess it depends on the circumstances. I am authoritative and do not tolerate immature behavior, lies, deception, manipulation and other similar behaviors. I do not have the time or the desire to be a baby sitter.
I expect to be treated with respect. If you respect me, I will respect you. If you disrespect me, expect to be disrespected in return. Do not bring your drama to this page. It will not be tolerated.
Rating: My rating policy is fairly simple. I give what I get. You give me a 5, you going to receive a 5 in return. You rate me a 1, you are going to receive a 1 in return unless I am stunned by your coding prowess. Don't like it? I don't care. Is that fair? I don't care. Is it childish? Probably, but again, I don't care.
Please feel free to add me, add my journal and/or stalk me. After all we all need a little help with bonuses. Just message me so I can make sure to return the kind favor. Thanks for visiting my profile. I hope you enjoyed your stay.
The sea can represent hope, truth, and in some cases, mystery and magic. The ocean's salt can also symbolize being well grounded, or stabilized. The cycle of the sea's tides is often seen to be symbolic of the ebb and flow of the life cycle.
The ocean is a "vast expanse dreaming its own dreams and asleep in its own reality, yet containing within itself the seeds of its antithesis." ~Heinrich Zimmer
The sea is mysterious, strong and powerful; it is beautiful and yet deadly. It is unpredictable, uncontrollable and often difficult to navigate. In contrast, at times the sea is beautifully calm, serene and tranquil. The sea behaves always according to it's own will. Sometimes, the ocean is referred to as being a tear of God or the sorrow; a place where one leaves ones bad memories and sadness.
"When anxious, uneasy and bad thoughts come, I go to the sea, and the sea drowns them out with its great wide sounds, cleanses me with its noise, and imposes a rhythm upon everything in me that is bewildered and confused."
~ Rainer Maria Rilke
"For whatever we lose (like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea."
~ e.e. cummings
"My soul is full of longing
For the secret of the sea,
And the heart of the great ocean
Sends a thrilling pulse through me."
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
"The voice of the sea speaks to the soul. The touch of the sea is sensuous, enfolding the body in its soft, close embrace."
~ Kate Chopin
"I could never stay long enough on the shore; the tang of the untainted, fresh, and free sea air was like a cool, quieting thought."
~ Helen Keller

I had to apply some security updates. I needed to take the site down for a few hours to complete everything. I did it in the middle of the night.. When hopefully, most of you wouldn't notice :)
