in our darkest hour
in my deepest despair
will you still care?
will you be there?
in my trials
and my tribulations
through our doubts
and frustrations
in my violence
in my turbulence
through my fear
and my confessions
in my anguish and my pain
through my joy and my sorrow
in the promsie of another tomorrow
I'll never let you part
for you're always in my heart
~Written by Michael Jackson~
I am back, once again! I've been here - in the past - as VampyricRose and ShatteredGlassHeart. I've left for a number of reasons, and the last time I left I made a little error while tinkering with my profile that caused my page to be suspended. OOPS! (See why I don't trust myself with HTML? haha)
Allow me to introduce myself:
My name is Melanie and I am 25 years old. I'm originally from Seven Hills, Ohio - a small city in the suburbs of Cleveland - but now reside in Bowling Green for I am a student at BGSU. I'm a Creative Writing major with a minor in film. I have an in-the-works novel that I've started to work on. I'll occasionally post excerpts in my journal so be sure to add me to your favorites! I'm also a writer of poetry and writing in general, for it helps me get my emotions under control when I'm feeling overwhelmed. I think a lot of writers can relate to that, don't you?
I'm a huge music-lover, for music is my saving grace. I listen to a little bit of everything, from *Nsync to Nightwish to Hilary Duff to Aerosmith to Eminem to Shania Twain. I'll compile a list of artists I listen to and add it to my profile as time wears on. I'm warning you, this is probably one of the most varied CD collection you will see here on VR!

More than anything, I enjoy escaping in a great book. I'm a fan of paranormal romance - which is the genre I'm writing in, children's fantasy, young adult fantasy, sci-fi, and horror.
I'm a lover of tattoos. I think they are a great way to express oneself in a way that is unique to every individual. I currently have two tattoos - one on my left arm and the other on my right shoulder blade. I'll post pics of them in my portfolio once I get more camera batteries. I plan on getting more tatts in the future; at least seven in total, most of them original designs.
I guess the only thing that's left to discuss is my love for vampires and the darker side of life. My love for vamps was ignited when I saw "Interview with the Vampire" for the first time. After that I moved onto "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"(who doesn't love the Buffster?) and from there I moved onto vampire books of anykind, whether they be mythological, nonfictional, or paranormal romance.
I'm a night owl by trade; I blame being born at 8:02pm for that happening, lol. I find peace within the night. I love the moon, who I pray to every chance I get. I don't consider myself to be a witch or even Wiccan for that matter, but I do work with crystals and I've become pretty confident at reading tarot cards. I have a deck that is called The Goddess Deck and it is so accurate at times that it scares me. They say that when you buy a deck, the deck chooses you - and that is truly what happened in my case.
Well, I guess that's all you need to know for right now. Thank you for stopping by! Oh, and watch your step on the way out; I tend to be a messy eater, so there may be a few puddles of blood on the carpet. *snickers and sneers*
!!!HAPPY BITING!!!
