Respect Mother Earth
For our ancestors, the embodiment of the divine feminine was the Earth itself. The ancients, who had more direct contact and a greater relationship with nature viewed the earth as this gigantic female being who gives birth and continuously creates life. They observed and witnessed the plants and animals being born on the earth’s surface, multiplying and finally returning to her, only to come back again through regeneration. A cycle that is maintained steadfast: birth, death, and rebirth. Earth supports the whole ecosystem, the sky, the mountains, the trees, the seas and rivers, animals and humans; she nurtures and heals all. Ultimately all life depends on her, she is the force of creation and destruction. Our ancients did not take this for granted but saw all of these as blessed gifts and therefore considered themselves as children of the earth. Earth was the divine mother of all.
The first written reference to the Earth as a mother is traced back to ancient Greek writings. Gaia was the great goddess and mother of all creation for the ancient Greeks. The concept of Mother Earth or Mother Goddess was first recorded in the early 7th century BCE by the great Greek poet Hesiod in his Theogony. Hesiod records the story of the birth of the universe, when in the beginning it was only Chaos, Gaia, and Eros. The Earth was therefore a primal deity; she was revered as the mother of all gods and living creatures and symbolized the rejuvenating care of Mother Nature.
First, the Sacred Feminine is a historical fact, as demonstrated by a significant amount of art, archeological finds and myths reaching back nearly 30,000 years. The first evidence of Her appears during the Upper Paleolithic Era, a period of time ranging from 50,000 BCE to 10,000 BCE, in the form of more than 250 figurines of women that have been discovered in sites scattered across Europe, Siberia and Eastern Russia. Despite being found across a vast geographic span of more than 4,000 miles, and in some cases being dated to periods of time thousands of years apart, these figurines nonetheless share remarkably similar characteristics.
They are small, most standing only several inches tall. The most famous of them depict women who are anything but small – instead, they are large and round, with pendulous breasts, round bellies, seriously big butts, and in some cases, emphasized genitalia. They also lack both feet and facial features of any kind.
Archeologist Christine Desdemaines-Hugon has suggested that these similarities are no accident – instead, they represent not only a “shared understanding of the symbolic significance of the figurines,” but also some kind of shared agreement that the statuettes needed to be crafted in a particular way.
Many sculptures from this time period depict the Sacred Feminine as part woman and part animal. In many, many others, snakes, waves, eggs and spirals are seen twisting themselves around the body of what appears to be a Goddess and other items associated with Her. Interestingly, many of these images also seem to connect with creation myths and stories that appear in later eras. For example, there are several creation myths that envision a female creator born of water; others describe a snake Goddess who created the world.
Sacred Feminine has long been connected with the natural world, not as a separate entity that created life and then removed Herself from the picture, but as inseparable and indistinguishable with Her creation. This is remarkably different from the picture that most of our dominant monotheistic traditions paint for us today. While we might imagine a Christian God creating the heavens and the Earth, the Sacred Feminine simply is the Earth and the plant and animal life here. This brings an inherently sacred nature to all of life. From the tiniest blade of grass to the most prominent spiritual and political leaders, we’re all equal in Her eyes, deeply interwoven with each other, and a living extension of Her body.
In the worldview of the Sacred Feminine, time is not linear – it exists as a spiral, with never-ending cycles of birth, death and rebirth. We see this all around us in the endless cycles of nature. Our ancestors once aligned their rhythms closely with these natural rhythms, honoring the pivotal points of the changing seasons with celebrations. There is also evidence to suggest that they viewed their own lives in the same way, with death not being seen as some sort of final resting place, but simply one part of a ceaseless cycle of life before rebirth occurs.
Ave, I have been on this website with one profile or another since 2007. I first found the site when I was in a very dark place in my life.
I was searching for information on what was happening to me. I was looking for Kin of like minds to share time with. We all go thru changes and personal growth. I have went thru many changes , and growth processes over the years. I have made very deep bonds with others.
As well as lost some very deep bonds. Changes can be overwelming , scary, heartbreaking. They can also be positive, and happy. None of us stay in the same place. We go thru different things in our life that prepare us for our next chapters. Everyone can't walk your full journey with you. As hard as it is, some are only put in your path to teach and guide you. To either help you , or to give you those life altering changes that you need to expierence for your personal growth.
I have been in a place in my life the last couple of years. One of deep self reflection. First glance wasn't easy to see. If we don't truly take a look at all the parts of ourselves, then we never grow. I have been healing, and have been working on myself. Even though I have always had the best intentions, I haven't always handled things with grace. I have learned from the mistakes that I made. I have chosen to expand both my mind and my soul to look at things from different points of view. When you focus on the lesson that you learned from any situation something positive happens. You will develop a deeper understanding of what's being shown to you to learn from.
There are pieces of my soul in every profile that I have here. Yes, I have alot! They are for self expression. They are here to help othersin their mentorships and covens. I am at a place in my life that I seek peace. My soul is tired. I don't like alot of drama in my life. I will make the choice to cut ties if that is what it takes to retain my peace.
I enjoy talking with those of like minds. I am open to conversations and making friends. Keep in my mind, my trust isn't
easy earned. I have known the deepest of human cruelity. So it does take time to earn any trust or bond with me.
If you would like to talk, feel free to message me. I will only talk with those whom are respectful. The following is thoughts of enlightenment.
Things I have been expierencing and learning on my journey of self reflection and healing.
Many Blessings to you.
Turn your attitude to inspiration.
Be a walking contradiction.
Be strong and soft.
Be deep and lighthearted.
Be beautiful and intelligent.
Be confident and humble.
Be someone with a quick wit and a cheap sense of humor.
Be content climbing a mountain and enjoying the sweetness of doing nothing.
The world may try and classify you as one thing because that is easier to understand
Then a person who has a little bit of everything in them.
And you may feel misunderstood for a while, but your people can only find you
if you are brave enough to be yourself.
There are parts of you that you have yet to discover.
There is greater love that you have yet to find.
There are experiences that are far beyond your imagination.
And it's all waiting for you.
Life is waiting for you.
So set aside your expectations and go explore it.
I admire people who have the courage to tell honest and raw stories about themselves, the ugliest parts, the parts that makes them look bad, there's so much gold in every piece. It shows that we all mess up, we all have some parts that are awful, unacceptable and traumatizing.
These people are living proof of how you can let hardship shape you into a better person. There is always someone on the verge of growth who needs hear that you can be strong, capable and damn beautiful even though you've made some fucked up choices along the way.
Being rude is easy. It does not take any effort and is a sign of weakness and insecurity. Kindness shows great self-discipline and and strong self-esteem. Being kind is not always easy when dealing with rude people.
Kindness is a sign of a person who has done a lot of personal work and has come to a great self-understanding and wisdom. Choose to be kind over being right, and you will be right every time because kindness is a sign of strength.
You are strong even if you are afraid.
You are bold even if you don't have all the answers.
You are brave even if you worry.
You are authentic even if you stumble.
You are enough.
This world needs the real you.
Not you behind the masks.
But the amazing brave real you.
When you learn to see the lesson in every situation,
things don't affect you the same way they used to.
You begin to grow through everything you go through.
You start shifting your energy to create what you want.
You stop worrying about what you can't control.
I'm not interested in fighting, hating, blaming, or being petty
with whatever time I have left in this life.
I want to live. I want to be happy. I want to be loved and I want to have Peace.
I had to apply some security updates. I needed to take the site down for a few hours to complete everything. I did it in the middle of the night.. When hopefully, most of you wouldn't notice :)
