My name is Katlyn and I'm old enough to be on this site. xP I'm currently a student with a vision to attended an art college, mostly preferable at this point SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design). I actually made it to level III in my visual art program so far, which is teacher picked. 12 out of about... 40 or so students get picked. As you can tell, I'm extremely passionate about art.
I’m a hopeless Romantic Goth, who loves to send her hours engulfing herself in Edgar Allen Poe, or my deep poetry and writings. My sense of fashion would what most people would refer to as a ‘teenie goth’, for I’m not into the heavy fishnet and chains. I really don't care what people call me. I am who I am. I much rather reside into my form fitting neutral toned tees and my Tripp jeans with dyed hair and light eyeliner.
I’m that fly on the wall some people don’t know is there one day, and the next can compose a complete conversation with out of the blue. I can get lost into an oblivion with my over 6k songs and never know someone was talking to me until the next day when they go off into a tangent about how I was ignoring them. Sorry, I had my earphones in…
I’m a simple girl that likes simple things with a sort of a twist. I don’t like big and I don’t like glam. I don’t like shiny and I hate sequins. I like corsets and long bell bottoms from the 90’s. I’m a 90’s child to all heart. Rock on. I can be pessimistic one day and the most hyper chick in the lunch courtyard the next. I even have my little ‘hyper dance’ to prove when these urges come. I have a small group of friends and a large aspects of people I associate with. I’ll talk to almost anyone I don’t regard as: clingy, homicidal, suicidal, emotive, or kill-your-brain-cells-blonde. Which takes out…half my school. Lovely.
I have a pet Chihuahua named Allie whose the sweetest thing eveh! Even though my good guy friend regards her as the devil… BUT THAT DOESN’T COUNT! She’s still sweet as Sugar Daddys. Pictures of her are in my portfolio. I also have two Leopard Geckos, Gomez and Cecilia. They had babies once, but the eggs weren't fertilized enough and it miscarried. Poor Cecilia.
A few more things...My mother was in the US navy a long time ago. She is my hero for saving the lives of so many people on the USS Comfort. I don't know my biological father, but I know that he was more than likely part German, with a last name of Zinn. If this is so, I love my German heritage. Germany is one of my favorite countries. Not only because they have the most awesome language in the world, but their industrial metal ROCKS! XD
As I stated before, I love German Industrial Metal. Which would mainly include RAMMSTEIN. My favorite song from them is 'Mein Herz Brennt', translated as 'My heart burns.' I love all types of metal: Gothic, Heavy, Black, Instrumental, Speed, Thrash, Death, Industrial, etc... Some of my favorite bands include:

My poetry is a sense of my self. Every word in these I do from heart, every sentence or stanza I place there for a specific reason. I write things mostly based around my feelings or what is on my mind at that point. A funny part about me: I can write poetry exceptionally well (or so I've been told), however, I cannot write a song to save my LIFE. A few of my poems are located in my journal, please go check them out and give me a constructive comment. They really do help out. I think the one I love the best as this point was my latest, 'Yuki', which I'm debating to re-title 'Snow'. Its more or less a riddle, for it never out right says snow, but if you read between the lines, that's what my words are referring to. Yuki is japanese for snow.

I love self expression. That is something I vaule highly. If you can express yourself in your OWN unique way, kuddos for you. I'm a free spirited person that's just that, a person. I'm not in a 'clique' of any kind. I have friends, but they aren't exactly like me. Actually, they're all very different. I like that. I truly value individualism. BE YOURSELF! You are the only you you have!

- People that say I hate too much.

I am a proud current member of Lux Æterna and a proud ex-coven member of the Covert Correcitiude! These people are my family, they have brought me up not only in VampireRave but as a person too. I love my family in both of these covens, one of which is no longer with us. I'll miss that family extremely, but it's time to move on. Life is life, changes are inevitable. It's only how you approach them that matters truly.
This is a biggie. I believe in the 1-10 scale! If you rate me a 10, don't you for a second think you'll get a 10 as well.
Even if you are a Whelp, having a small paragraph does not cut it for me. I had the about same length as this my first day on VR, because I cared enough to let people know that I was serious about being apart of this community. If your profile consists of nothing but pictures, even if they are pretty, the highest you'll get is an 8. A paragraph as I mentioned will land you a 1. Having things misspelled or not having good grammar will land you at the most a 5. I would like to see organization, finesse, some pictures, good grammar and spelling, and something I can read that won't bore me to death and send me skipping half way down your profile to get to the good stuff! That will get you a 10!
Warning: People that lie about who they are or put fake pictures of themselves or people they know, go to Hell. I'll rate you because I need the points, but I could care less if you fell into a ditch. Let's face it, if you were a real vampire or shit like that, you would at least have the DECENCY to write in complete grammatical sentences so you could, oh, I don't know, BE MORE BELIEVEABLE?! Come on people...
