Orphaned
On Tuesday 18 November 2008 at approximately 14:30 my father died after a brief battle with Cancer. The funeral will be this Saturday at 13:30 in Niagara Falls.
I’m not really sure what else to say at this point.

I wiped everyone off to be fair. I don't always get to check in here or even do more than respond to messages and with the dearth of messages, I figured it was easiest to start fresh.

Added Rani70 to friends list and removed the numbering system, at the bottom of the profile. I'm also hereby serving notice, I know I'm not great at keeping in touch, but I'm good at returning messages. I'm contemplating parring down the list to people who do bother to message me. I don't mean to be unfair but I'm not here to collect names on a friends list. I'd rather have 'real' online friends then just a slough of names.
sorry to be that way, but hey, it's one of my quirks. It doesn't mean I don't like you, just that we obviously don't have sufficient motivation between the pair of us to maintain a friendship, however loose.

I now have my own internet connection! It took six months, a visit to the comp-tech and a new ethernet thingamajig (Okay so I'm not the resident IT guy here, deal with it Muffin!) and now, This morning, I have my own internet access. I'm on my own computer again and able to easily access all my files et al.

Okay, as any who regularly follow my activities, you may have realised that I'm not hanging out as much as I used to. Fact is, my work load is intensifying and well, you won't be seeing much of me online for the next while.

Well I suppose, and it is only a supposition, that until I come to grips with other elements of this site, that I can at least provide a semblence of information about myself.

I'm 6'2" 315lbs brown hair, blue eyes (I'm told they're intense) that change hue with my mood and health. I'm a Canuckistani (that's the Dominion of Soviet Socialist Canuckistan MR. PAT BUCHANAN... *mutters under breath* fanboy), of predominantly Anglo-Scottish heritage, though there is some Danelaw, Welsh, and German in there as well.

While the majority of my life has been spent in the Province of Ontario, I have lived in Mexico (Yelapa, Jalisco Province) for approximately two years and nearly a year in Fort Chippewayan, Alberta.

I have, among other things been a construction labourer, carpenter, mason, concrete former, background performer (movie and television extra), cook, dish washer, taxi driver, paralegal/process server/investigator, and most recently (and currently) a truck driver.

I am a high school drop out and while I started my University Career in 1984, academic and fiscal problems have postponed its completion.

I am the father of twins, twice married, twice divorced and happily involved with a lovely lady in a long term relationship.

I look forward to finding time to resume my writing and to actually publish (either online or via the more traditional route) and get paid for my literary skills. I will also finish my degree and pursue post-graduate studies.

My interests are not limited (and varies with regards to proficiency) to the following; History, Anthropology, Arhaeology, genomics and genetics, sociology, philosophy, politics, physics, quantum mechanics, metaphysics, religion, spirituality and other topics.

I don't get to read as much as I'd like so I listen to books on CD while I'm driving.

I work nights and sleep days (talk about living the vampire life *grin*) and so, yes, I do wear my sunglasses at night (propped on top of my head usually, it's easier to find them when the evil day star comes rising over the eastern horizon).
