1st attempt:
*kicks profile page* Update damnit!
2nd attempt: Tech and I do not get along. Much in the same way an Elephant attempting to use a stapler for a memo to a Lion does. The stapler gets busted and the elephant gets eaten... in my case... my hand gets zapped. :/ Go figure.
I'll write something more interesting here once i fuddle out how all this stuff works. *shrugs* meh... either find out how it works or kick my foot so far up its USB port its mother board feels it. *shrugs*we'll see.
Anyways. Toodles!
-Ara-
3rd attempt:
Ok. *cracks knuckles* Lets see if the harddrive crashes on this puppy.
Who am I... hmm.. well... *clears throat* Lets see for those who adore labels these are some of the ones I actually don't have a problem with being given:
I'm a crazed and protective friend,
I'm a loving fiance,
I'm a ... wish i could say doting to go along with the descriptions but...no... lol... daughter,
I'm a big sister,
I'm an adopted bratty little sister by many,
I'm a student of everything,
I'm a teacher where I can annnnnd
If you cannot already tell, I'm quite an expressive individual.
I don't believe in holding back and will say often quite plainly what I think, feel ect eeeeeeeeeeeeeeven if its going to get my tushy kicked from the new world to the old one annnnnd turn me into a pile of goo if/when I get pulverized. Good thing i'm flexible, else those rubber mallets to my forehead would hurt. :/ *gulp*
I am a big fan of not accepting Labels at first glance. If I wanted to accept any and every label that was applied or said about me, I'd be a walking billboard for STAPLES and probably get high off the glue from all the posted notes attached to my forehead saying this, that, or the other thing.
For those interested dispite what i've said, I have been called:Vampire, Lycan, Hyena, Feline, Daemon, Angel, Fae and Dragon. I personally, don't accept any of those labels and the fact that none of my friends can agree on Annnnny of them, leads me to just chuckle softly and go right back on to simply being me, the bratty little adopted sister who pulls their tails occasionally and make them laugh.
I don't care who or what I am, so long as I am left to be me. whoever or whatever I am and all that, that all entails. :D
As I said already I'm a very expressive person and will tell it directly as I see things to be. I will act very much as how I wish to be treated and if i'm not... well... Don't worry, I forgive you. After all the worst thing you can do to your enemies is forgive them. *smiles innocently* Hell I'll even defend your tushy from my friends who ... Bluntly put... Don't like seeing me cry. *Smiles sweetly*
Oh.. one more thing... if you had to absolutely put a single solitary label on me in an attempt to describe my multifacetted and oft insane personality... the one that seems to fit the best is a Bratty little sister :) Someone who will tell ya when to shove the harp where the sun don't shine and will take the pitchfork jabs with the best of them, right on the ass with turpinetine as an antiseptic; but, also someone who will be there as a shoulder if needed and will dispite the "big bad" threatening you being scary as all hell, will step in the line of fire between you and them. I am the little sister's eyes always watching and always waiting for my time to grow further.
Well.. that's it for babbling updating this thing for now.
Toodles all!
Take care and be well
:D hehe WHeee! :D
-Ara..
4th attempt:
Hmm... ok... what did I miss to tell about myself that i'm willing to reveal about myself to a multitude of strangers. *Shrugs*hmm... well... firstly
1) mystery is a good thing, keeps the wheel turning in my opinion so don't expect I'm just gonna hand ya my head on a crystal platter. Though I Imagine it would look good with a little garnish around my ears, the classique apple in my mouth, cucumbers where my eyes were. After all I imagine that if ya truuuuuuullly wanted my head on a platter, as the old saying goes, if my eye offends thee, pluck it out.... so i don't think I'd have eyes, would that unlikely and highly improbable event ever actually occur. :P Aside from that, my eyes are creepy, so probably make good souvenirs... ( Don't get any ideas!)
2)hmm... Seen others put what music they like on their pages, to that I can only say truly this: The music I listen too depends on my mood. I will listen to absolutely anything and enjoy it, taking from it what I wish. Example: Reallllllyyyyy badly sung country song, I'll be boogin' to the beat and "selective hearing" the words out of existance. :)
HOWEVER!... There is one instance where I will just throw up my hands and walk out of ear shot of the music. ( trust me... out of my earshot is out of the house... its a great trick to freak my friends out with:D er... I mean bah hehe.) This throwing up my hands will occur if for some peverse and macably disturbed reason you wish to play the same song that has been on non-stop repeat for the past two months on the radio. MUSIC IS THE SPICE OF LIFE DAYUMIT! CHANGE IT UP A BIT! yyyeeeesh!
For those who must Abbbbsoooolutely know what bands/music/songs I'm Currently leaning more towards than others I bring you! DUn dun dunnn.... Ara's current list of favourites! In no particular order we have:
Classical music:
Mozart, Handle... few others. I like the music with flow and passion. Though arguably all classique music has passion put into it, but I'm talking about those pieces that really if you closed your eyes, sat in a chair and listened to each bow upon the strings, each breath of air into a woodwind.... You'd litterally get swept up in the emotion of the piece, not only from the music itself but the determination of each player in their craft. :)
VNV Nation:
Entropy! Though I listen to alot of their songs, I like Entropy the best *shrugs* dunno why. Electronaut is good as well has a nice continuing beat. Great music to listen too while playing pranks! Well more aptly its a great song to have running in your head when ya runnin' away from big brother.... hehe:D ( er... did I say that out loud? I don't play pranks. *crosses fingers* Honest! *Adjusts halo on horns* I'm just an innnnnnnooocent bratty little sister *smiles sweetly*)
HIM:
I adore the beat they bring! Expressive, not too overpowering and makes you wonder at the story behind the words. :D Mystery is a good thing :D My favourite song of theirs, of course = Vampire Heart, from the Darklight CD. If you haven't listened to it... Listen to it!! :P Though again... duh, second place is Wings of a Butterfly though Killing loneliness (I love the flow of it and the poetry of the words), Soul on fire ( Expressive and I just adore the line "frozen heart and a soul on fire)and especially Buried alive by Love (kick tushy beat!), rival it for second place.
Creed:
What can I say, Six feet from the edge! Arms wide open! What can I say about creed that hasn't already been said... dayum! :D
Blue Oyster cult:
Don't fear the reaper! Tainted love! Yet another band that ya just have ta say LISTEN TO THEM!
Jethro Tull:
Awesome flutest! :) I quirk of hearing a flute in a song you wouldn't expect it and it making a great contribution to the piece. I like the songs Too Old to Rock and Roll and Aqualung. For those curious what in the world type of music it is.. Think 70's 80's :)
Type O Neg:
I love his voice! *laughs* Do not much care what the song is about, but the deep voice telling the story of the song. .... yummy. *laughs*The back beat, the chords are great, often listen to Type O when I'm writing. Hehe I like their remake of Paint it black :) Its a nice twist on an oldie I adore.
Godsmack:
Voodoo! If for no other reason do I like listening to Godsmack is for the song Voodoo. No not the second Voodoo which in my opinion was ....*swears like a drunken sailor who's stubbed their toe* They had a good thing going with Voodoo, they should have stopped. Kinda like a movie with far too many sequels... just.... stop. *laughs* Another song of theirs I like is Awake for the awesome back beat to it. "I'm alive and still kickin'"! :D I like songs that envolve perservering dispite it all :) if it has also a killer beat. Bonus!
The Donnas:
Gave us Bad reputation. I do not know what to say about the rest of their songs, though Take me to the backseat *laughs* made me chuckle.
Three Doors Down:
Kryptonite. ! ! I adore this song. One of the very few that even if you played it over and over again I would not get sick of it.
Pink Floyd:
Learning to fly!... Icaris anyone? hehe :D I adore flying and listening to this song almost makes me feel weightless.
Flock of Seagulls:
Pick me up. Hehe reminds me of monday mornings, I neeeedd my tea!
Echo and the Bunnymen: The Killing moon, I like the story of it and the flow of the tune behind it.
Tal Bachman:
She's so high. For me goes back to flying, reaching the unattainable, the glass petastool that if only we had a mallet, we could send crashing down and latch onto our dreams... and loves. Reminds me of Courtly love of the late Medival to the Early modern era, of Idolizing a woman from afar but stressing the sanctity of marriage to keep only that romance as Idolation from afar.
Right Said Fred:
*laughs* Who doesn't love the classic "I'm too sexy." *laughs* Great song to put on if going out for a date and ya have to labour infront of a mirror, getting your hair just so, the outfit just so... I don't know about you but I hear this song and I see someone scrambling around a bedroom for clothes. The closet door open and clothes flying across the room, smacking the cat in the head on the bed. The person fustering with their outfit infront of a mirror only to get frustrated and disappear back into the closet. Then going into the bathroom, fuddling with makeup or hair gel and having to redo it before realizing they are late. Rushing to their car, not having the time to stop and go "should i have rented a better car" and drives off. Remembering they buried their cat under forty layers of clothes and have a mess to clean up when they get home.
Linkin Park:
My fiance always plays Linkin Park in his van when we go driving. So, and I know its weird but *laughs* Every time I hear a Linkin Park song, no matter what it is... reminds me of the drives we've taken :). hehe Midnight drive karaoke! Personally I like Numb and Breaking the Habit.
Loreena McKennit!:
If I want to relax or feel like dancing, she is what I listen too. If I want to zone, reach a place inside myself, I close my eyes to her music and just... float. :) My favourite song of hers is Mummers Dance.
Queen:
Bohemian Rapsody. Can we say Well, duh? lol the vocals, the story, the music. :D :D
Smashing Pumpkins:
The world is a Vampire, hehe. hehe. hehe, simply for the title and the lyrics. What an aptly put title in my opinion*laughs*
The Bangles!:
I mean come on... who can't like them!... they gave us Walk like an Egyptian! Manic Monday! don't tell me you've never had a Manic Monday! *laugh* :)
Sixpense None the richer:
There she goes. I get the image of a College or University and a girl in class being watched from afar by another student. The first always wanting to talk to the girl but never... quite... able... to .... catch... her... as she races off to class with nothing but a smile and a wave in their direction. hehe :) I like songs that give me an image to play with :)
Shattersphere:
Reflections. So expressive and I can identify with it. Hehe, however I can see this very clearly being used on an Anime *laughs* :) I like the chords in Incomplete Sanity.
Rammstein:
Vampire, the story and the beat to it. "The vampire strikes back" hehe :) you can see the progression of it in your minds eye if you pay attention :)
Buggles:
Video killed the radio star. hehe remeber records?eight tracks? cassettes? hehe... *blinks* wait, I didn't just ear someone in the back say What's an eight track!... *blink, dies* *laughs* Dayyum. *laughs* anyways... I like listening to those old radio broadcasts recorded on eight tracks, records and cassettes. They're facinating to listen too, the lengths they went to to paint a picture in one's mind of what was going on. Much better than TV I'd say :P
There's tons more but *laughs* I imagine if you've gotten this far, you're probably starting to ... correction... are bored of reading them *laughs* so I'll quit babbling here :)
Toodles all!
Take care and be well
-Ara.

After several attempts, I have come to a conclusion: I should buy an industrial sized stamp and stamp my forehead twice with the mark of the whelpy, to the tune of. "I am Whelpy, watch me code!" before sitting in a corner with a dunce cap. lol :)
I'll try again later, right now. Hungry!
Toodles!
Take care and be well all
