I really enjoyed reading your profile. You have a refreshing writing style and lots of precision. I like the Discworld quote... but I'm a little confused by "porcus irae, canus illa" -- is that a reference to something? I know it mimics the Dies Irae (I'm both a Classics major and a choir nerd), but I've never met a pig of wrath. (And shouldn't it be "canis" rather than "canus" which means something like "old age"? -- just for the parallel construction of animals. And also because "canus" is neuter while "illa" is feminine, so the noun and adjective don't agree.) (I'm also fond of your "grammar police" badge -- did you make it?)
