Well, at first I was not going to post any pictures of myself, but since that annoys me in other's and I refuse to be a hypocrite, here are a couple. Everything else I post here will be things I may take pics of around the places I roam, maybe my children...whatever strikes my fancy of the moment.
Since I have had several folks messaging me about the Halloween pictures, I decided to write a little “review” of sorts to tell you how it went over with the neighborhood kids. Keep in mind we live in an extremely small town, so a house and yard decorated this much is usually only seen at Christmas time, in fact we were the only people in the entire town of 2000 people to really do anything beyond the few Jack-O-Lanterns and those tacky blow up yard balloon thingy’s.
The entire yard and house was completely decorated, the pictures you see here are only a few that were taken.
One of my daughters was a 1920’s flapper-ghost, her friend was a goth ghoul. My other daughter was a graveyard fairy, I of course was dressed as a witch, my husband was the most striking figure of all dressed as Death, complete with glowing changing colors mask and voice modulator.
The Fog machines and the light and sound effects helped to pull it all together for the haunted graveyard theme we were going for.
Most of the kids trick or treating loved it, we did however have one little boy who was so scared and shook so hard we had to remove the hats and masks to show him we were playing dress up just like he was.
Parents of the kids loved it, except for one lady who promptly informed us that we should all be ashamed of ourselves for scaring little kids…note, only one child was scared and it was handled appropriately and fixed.
We had people flashing cameras and even filming the entire evening.
To my sad regret we did not photograph the hearse with the glowing green light and our neighbors son dressed as a corpse handing out candy to any child brave enough to come up to him!
Samhain is celebrated in this house to the nth degree! We handed out full size candy bars, popcorn balls and Halloween rings (spiders, skulls, witches, vampires etc)…the kids all loved it, actually most everyone did...except for one overly sensitive born again nuisance, who in my not so humble opinion needs to get a grip!
We can barely contain ourselves to wait till next year, as we went shopping after the holiday to buy up more items at clear out prices to add next year!
**A special thanks goes out to a young man that is a member here...defeated1 for his input and suggestions on our haunted graveyeard theme! Thanks Hun! Your suggestions really helped to make the night a smashing hit!**
I want to thank the MANY people who have sent me emails requesting my age, thank you so VERY much for acting so shocked when you find out I am actually 48 years old. You have NO idea what a kindness it has been to my ego! LOL!
Yes, I am 48 years old, the mother of three beautiful birth children ages almost 25, 22 and 18…and the mother of one extremely precious male soul age 22 whom I couldn’t love any more than if I had given birth to him myself. Andrew is truly a gift from the Goddess.
So, yes, 48 is the earth age, why don’t I look it? Well hmmm, Vampires don’t age! LMAO! Seriously though it’s called maintenance… I personally use Merle Norman products, but any REALLY good quality skin care regime will have your skin thanking you in the years to come. I also stay out of the sun as much as possible, when I do go out I use a nice high SPF sunblock, the sun will age you quicker than anything! Don’t take your skin for granted…let me show you why….
Me at 47
This is a picture of my sister when she was at the age I am now…
Again….THANK YOU!
