My Babies

I am a big fan of Asian art. These are pictures of the art I own. I apologize about the flashes in the picture, it was either that or have a really dark pic.
Below is a picture of a signed CD and CD cover from Disturbed when I went to Ozzfest 2006 :)

My Virginia 2007 trip
These first five pictures are what we saw driving and what I call the skyline drive pics.

Sheetz gas?? LOL I thought that was a funny name for a gas station xD

Get your kicks off ...

Below are a couple of cool rock formations that we found while driving in the mountains.

This is one of the flowers that were growing on the mountain... ain't it perdy?

This was a cool looking plant that was growing up there. It's unusual to see these where I am from, so I decided to take a picture of it

Got a lil captain in ya?? ;)

Mommy!

We did find some wild animals, but we were kinda far away from them! The first two are deer, but in the last two can you find where the black bear is??

My Blue Ridge mountain pictures

Here are a couple pictures of me that my mom took in all of my dark splendour... hehe

These are pictures from the Crystal caverns, unfortunately for us there was a lack of bats... *sighs* oh well lol

Within Temptation Concert 2007
There were three bands that played at the WT concert that night: Shovelhook, Dear and Departed, and of course WT ;)
Here are a couple of pics from each band. My two favorites were Shovelhook and WT :)

These paintings are from a beginning painting class I took this semester.
Before you take a look at my artwork, please take into consideration that this was my very first painting class I've ever taken in my life! lol. So I will show you the eight paintings in consecutive order from the first one I created to the last. I really enjoyed painting although I realize that I still have much work to do before I can really consider myself an "artist" in this field.. but it was fun. I think the hardest thing for me was mixing the colors. The only paints I had to work with
were the primary colors and white. The black was a mixture I made out of the primary colors. Out of all the paintings, I like my final still life the best :)
Here is painting #1 - I call it "ghost" because that's what it looks like to me. Although it was supposed to be a white cloth hanging from a black border ;)

Painting #2 is just another still life...I was starting to get a little bit better with shading and lines at this point.

Painting #3 is a contrast painting (I think that's what it's called) Where you paint black and white on one side of the canvas and color on the other. Then you try to get the two sides to have the same brightness/darkness, shadings, etc.

Painting #4 well.. what can I say. It's the first full color painting I did. When I first created this, I was really happy with the way the colors came out, but there's not much shading and it seems a little too two dimensional.

Painting #5 is a supposed to be a portrait of this poor student who had to come and sit/model for our class for 3 hours while we painted her lol. When I made my sketches of her, I was really pleased with how they came out. However, when it came
to painting her, I was a little disapointed at the results. It seems very cartoonish instead of looking realistic which was what I wanted it to be lol.

Painting #6 is a what is called a "wood chip" painting because of the tool used to paint with. All of my other paintings I have been able to use a regular brush, but for this one the professor wanted us to use the wood chips. I would say this was another
difficulty for me. I felt like I didn't have as much control with the wood chips and it was hard to work with.

Painting #7 is my final still life and it is THE most favorite of all the paintings I have done! :) I think it shows a lot of how much I have learned. I like the way the colors turned out, the shadings, the dimentional aspect, and the overall composition
looks very complete. =)

Painting #8 is my self portrait. It doesn't look anything like me I think lol. But I like that I was finally able to get away from the lines that I was using with the other portrait but I think maybe I used too much shading ;)

Romania Trip 2008
I went to visit Romania in July of 2008 both for pleasure and to visit two people who have been "penpals" of mine for a long time. I must say it was one of best times I have ever experienced and Romania is a very beautiful place I would love to visit again.
I have over 2000 pictures from this trip, however I decided to show you just my favorites:
Bucharesti, Romania

The Romanian church is named Cretulescu Church(built 1720-1722) and it still bears the marks of the bullets Ceausescu shot in the population in december 1989 bloody revolution.

We decided to take the train back to Bucharesti.... Can you see the beautiful cross in the distance?
