VladVoivode loved reading this article heres my ten
You might think about adding more on the role of monasticism in Dark Age academics. Much ink has been spilled over the use of the term. I feel it's quite apt if one doesn't consider it in the extreme. Learning was limited due to difficulties in travel. Many great works were lost during the political strife. In my opinion, the greatest reason to call the ages dark is because there was a sudden dropoff in scholastic progress, one that picked up again in full force during the Renaissance. Naturally, the Byzantine Empire is at the fringe of Western History. The vast differences between the late Eastern and Western empires draw a rather clear dividing line. I do recognize the many achievements that were made during the period. What I wonder is if such a forceful opposition to the Dark Age concept is really necessary.
Very cool. I like it 9
Vlad as always before you did not fail to disappoint in the talk being interesting and informative.
I always enjoyed listening to you when you would talk on various subjects, for you always talked on a level that was not condescending yet was highly intelligent and interesting for everyone even though we might not know the subject beforehand.
I look forward to reading more of your articles.
