I'd like to add to this perspective, in that it seems as though as the 'community' opened itself up, particularly on the energy vampire side, it brought a multitude of others who claim some sort of affinity to the 'psi', growing to such a wide set of parameters, that it has diluted the conversation, imo. From Therians to Fae, the acceptance, while noble, tends to blur the line between what any of these terms mean, resulting in a blanket perception and unfortunately, creates challenges in finding accurate information to help self-determine who we are.

I'm willing to accept that each has their own truth, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere when using definitive terms, otherwise true discourse becomes effectively meaningless. We are all individualized, of course, but when the it descends into 'we're all one big happy psi family', it denigrates what it means to be an individual, rather than elevating it within the group to which affinity is claimed. Not withstanding that there are bound to be those that are exploitative or genuinely suffering a mental crisis, in which circumstance, it becomes even more difficult to find appropriate advice and support.

Perhaps that is the background strategy for all this- flood the channels with so much noise that what vampires really are becomes subsumed and once again hidden from the public consciousness.

I do like this piece of writing. I also like privacy. meeting others has been a desire, I could find other means to do so than going public I guess.
