This article provides a list of tips on how to be safe online and on Vampire Rave, while still having fun.
Online safety is everyone's concern no matter want your age. We all need to be aware of the many hazards that may present themselves.
I have listed some information and advice to help keep you safe. Not reading or heeding them is like opening your front door to anyone who knocks or walks by.
Let's be intelligent, let's be safe, and let's enjoy our time online.
1) Don't give your real full name. If you want to give your first name, be sure you can trust the person.
2) Don't ever give out your phone number, unless mom or dad agrees. If you own your phone, be sure you can trust that person.
3) Don't ever give your personal address.
4) Don't write your address in the vampbox.
5) Don't write your phone number in the vampbox.
6) Don't put your address on your profile.
7) Don't put your phone number on your profile.
8) If someone keeps asking for your phone number after you have said no, BLOCK them!!!
9) If someone keeps asking for your address after you have said no, BLOCK them!
10) If messages sent to you make you feel uncomfortable, are perverted and/or threatening, BLOCK them!
11) If someone keeps asking for your full name after you have said no, BLOCK them!
12) If someone keeps asking for your email or IM address after you have said no, BLOCK them!..
It is better to block someone than to lose your account, your security, or your life. I am not making it up; losing your identity can mean losing your life.
