Password Retrieval
It is very important to keep the email address you have on file with Vampire Rave current. If you forget your password, a new password WILL ONLY be sent to the email address associated with your account.
There are two ways to reset your password:
This page allows you to enter your email address and answer the security question you have on file. On success, a new password is emailed to the email address you have on file. Use this method when you cannot remember which email address is associated with your account. You will be told which email address to check for your new password.
This page allows you to enter your VR username and email address. The email address entered MUST MATCH the email address associated with your account. If your entries match, a new password is sent to the email address you have on file.
Under no circumstances will a VR password be sent to an email address that is not associated with its corresponding VR account.
Under no circumstances will a VR administrator reveal the email address associated with a VR account.
Under no circumstances will a VR email address be changed for an account, by a VR administrator.
You were warned to keep your email address current. If you cannot access the email address associated with your account, you have no one to blame but yourself.
Keep your email address current. Keep your email account secure. Your email account grants access to your VR account.
Your email address is never displayed at Vampire Rave. It is unwise to give out the email address associated with your account to other VR members.
If you want maximum security, create a special email account for your VR account only. Never give this email address out and only use it for password resets (and other VR related business such as VR Store purchases). It is recommended that users set up a special Yahoo mail account for this purpose. Yahoo does not delete email accounts that fall inactive and Yahoo account security is above industry average. |
