Ex hitler youth calls hitler an atheist? Hmm...Wasn't he paying attention?
Another post says: 1. The nazi party was, by it's own constitution, founded on "positive Christianity"
And now finally, lets have a quote - mine.
"It is Christians and not international atheists who now stand at the head of Germany. I do not merely talk of Christianity, no, I also profess that I will never ally myself with the parties which destroy Christianity" - adolf hitler, 1933
This photograph taken by hubby was selected for entry into a national American photographic competition. Out of all the entries the photo below which was taken with his Canon G11 pocket camera won 7th place! Some of his photographic work has also been shown live on UTV television prior to the weather forecast being announced. Anyway, here is the one... as I said before not his best work by any means. A tripod was not used and the G11 was in auto mode.

this pic kicks butt!! I can see how it would be selected.Congrats to your hubby for the nice work.He has a good eye..I mean look at his wife!
Wow thats beautiful! :)
BEautiful
Thankyou.. We were even delighted out of the thousands who entered their photographs for the competition that they choose our photograph, never mind actually getting a place so high in the rankings :)
We watched Predators 2010 tonight...and I was riveted the entire movie. I don't know what is about the Predator movies but I really enjoy them :).
We are thinking of going down to Co Galway this weekend, but it is all dependent on the weather as we intend to climb Croagh Patrick mountain again. It will be chilly on the summit because of the height of the mountain but the view and peace you feel will be well worth the effort! Well, we will see but if its raining, well forget it.
My work is almost all caught up on, another few days should leave me all good! Louise is going to come Saturday when I am away, (if we get to go) and tidy up some loose admin things. Then, I am set!
Can't wait to get to the Carribbean.. The time is getting closer!

I love the Predator movies too, haven't seen that one though...
Can you fit me in your suitcase?
I'd love too!
I'm getting back to what is ' normal time' spent here on Vampire Rave for me...

Good for you hun, but I miss ya :)
Aaw, thats sweet Pandy. Thanks xx I am on yahoo if you'd like to add..gimme a shout, as it would be lovely to see you!
I am all done out with this rating and adding lark. If i stick at Venerable Sire for the rest of my days here, then so be it. Whatever. All that rating and adding stuff is just devaluing and cheaping the experience of Vampire Rave for me. I'm done with it.

Yes its became a sucky process....I rarely rate or add anymore.
You'll always be #1
Have you tried for any of the other bonus? Some are easier that the friends list. That's the hardest one to do.
I'm with you sugar- but if I keep yo-yoing like I have been, Ima puke on da keyboard...lol
Puking on your keyboard could be an alternative.. The keys may stick after and make it even more heavier going Red! No, to get the results i would like Ice, i have to be obsessive about the site..and after six years of being here.. I aint going to start that now! Besides, i havent really got the time unless i give something else up in my life and that isn't going to happen.
I do have an idea though lol, except this time the kids are big now and wont take lollipops for rating! *blows Guy a kiss* missed you manO :) wb
I went to the gym today.. The first time in a few weeks because of my old arm injury returning, and that leaves me incapable of doing weights.
However, today was good. I managed a hour session of spin/rpm, and a hour of weights with Steve. We didn't push the bar up to the usual 20 kgs, since I am just getting into regaining my arm strength again but it felt real good to be back at the gym after a 3 or 4 week absence.
I am considering joining a rambling association this winter for hillclimbing.. If there is anyone here who has climbed Ben Nevis please message me! ThaNks
And Holy Wars! Just who is more Holy than the other? WWF at prayers...

Heh, yea glad you enjoyed it. Gems like that are hard to find!
Sometimes I feel like I am living in a surreal world as my summations and actions arising from those are not the same as they were, even as recently as four years ago. This has been contradictory in some ways as I tended to be more subjective in the past, but as a business woman I do have to be shrewd, factual, have verifiable evidence and be committed to my chosen profession. No doubt, that has been life changing.
However, it has had its pitfalls.. I tend not to be passionate anymore, nor do I write anymore. Those of you who have hung around here as long as I have, will know just how I adored to read and write and without meaning to sound conceited, those writings were enjoyed by many.
Sighs, I miss that side of me. I remember writing 'novels' with two friends of mines in England.. my Mordred :) (and if you are ever reading this.. yes I still do have the dragons eye you sent me and wear it often.)
Imagination is a powerful entity; it brought me what I have today along with the input of hard work but the sacrifice of that imagination has been that an essence of me is scattered in the wind like ashes. That is why I say living feels surreal at times, as if I am acting out a part in another life...paradoxically strange.

In a nutshell.. I think you need a break
Although I must admit that my lack of knowledge about Irish lore and tradition was somewhat hindering for fully understanding your writings, I did enjoy reading them. And I do believe that part of you has not gone.. it is only dormant.
Thankyou Michen.. I strive on in hope :) I thank you too TB for your comment, I know I need assistance! Holidays stack me up with extra work after, but I have taken steps towards that this afternoon from a governement business management consultancy :). That will take some pressure off!
Ok, Pecksniff's!..let's talk about labelling for God's sake! I was in the bath today wondering why my bubbles were so odd! And then found out the packaging and colour for bath/shower gel was the same as shaving gel! Lol > >

I quite often pick shampoo instead of conditioner and vice-versa... I want labels that I can read with my eyes full of soap :)
The key is to just start shaving your legs in your tub full of shaving cream and pretend you meant to do it....hehe.
:P
I think on the face of things that America have been very tolerant in the aftermath of 9/11. It would seem that the combined forces of the USA and the UK should be more belligerent in getting their man... Osama Bin Laden has been wanted for too long now to stand and answer to America as a nation.
Eeer, and no I don't believe a mosque should be put on the site, or near the site of destruction as some of the fanatically religious people would only see it as a shrine to triumph.

I agree.
You make a good point.
Yes, I believe it is a good point too because people always need closure and resolution. It's not finished until he caught and suitably punished for his crime then perhaps America can have that peace..

Well said :)
I agree completely!! Sometimes I wonder about people.
As well written as that is. Sometimes thongs just won't be worked out by either, or just one part of the conflict. But also the journals are an area where we can express ourselves, even anger. Some do it wisely, some brashly, and others most foolishly.
Yeah and they take more pleasure if they are flaming a staff member.
I concur Pinja.. thongs can be worked out of! heh
Heh, Simon Cowell just said about a contestant.. " Your singing sounds like just after I sat on my cat! " LMAO..and then one of the duo punched the other one in the face hehhe! Live on stage heh! Hoots!

LOL this is more dramatic than the Italian one!
Cats do seem to be havin a bad week in Blighty :) can,t believe you watch that show :) always knew you had a dark side
Well, well, well.... Who would of believed it? Tonight I baked an adult pizza ( treating myself after a miserable day yesterday) Spicy Etruscan pepperoni, and Roquito pepper pizza with melted mozella cheese and I wondered what wine to have with it. So I pulled out a dry Burgundy from my stash to try something different..and oh, my! .....was I shocked to find out it complimented the pizza "exactly". Whoohoooo!
COMMENTS
LOL, after a few sips I would think it would compliment a slice of toast ;)
Wow that sounds perfect! :)
Mmmm that sounds good...
It was! put it also put a pound on the hips!

oopsie! Next time just get a louder radio and play it at them. lol

I have a friend in New Zealand and it would be comforting to see him around about now. Considering it is a small island the earthquake there may have had a rippling affect on him.

'Guy'? A different one or the one I mutually know- since that 'Guy' is in Australia. *That* Guy would not have felt it on his side of the country- opposite of where NZ is. If it's a different person, nevermind ;)
I have a good friend in NZ and she didn't even know it happened until we told her- messaging from the USA. She was cooking when her mom called from Indiana to see if everything was okay- had no clue.
Ah, that's good to know..thanks Heidi :)
The expression to have your head in the clouds will never ever mean the same again! I suppose the concept of cloud computing isn't really new, however, I do like that feature Apple has a lot! Now wherever I go, I shall never ever have to carry a pendrive with me again!
I am still learning, and it seems the more I learn the more I like. Now.. I just have to figure out how to get photos from my cloud to photobucket! Wish I could just tap and they would appear in my journal, heh.. A bit like magic!

I think it's more complicated than it would appear, due to the contradictions between his public speeches & writing, and his private conversations with Nazi insiders.
For example; he also said this (privately):
13th December, 1941:
Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery.... .... When all is said, we have no reason to wish that the Italians and Spaniards should free themselves from the drug of Christianity. Let's be the only people who are immunised against the disease.
I don't know what he was, but at times he certainly didn't seem very fond of Christianity. Yet he saw it as a necessary tool to win the support of the German people.
just my two cents.

Exactly Thoth.. but yet the Vatican never reacted...but remember of course, that the Vatican did excommunicate one nazi—Goebbels. If anyone is reading this and know why they did that it would be interesting to know.
