Laying here in front of the fire, the scent of the logs and peat drifting through my senses. A glass of chilled Sauvignon Blanc to my right, and cotton tails between my toes as my nail varnish dries, teehee it is quite a job balancing the laptop! Yes, I do like doing girly things and one of them is cooking.. I went to market yesterday and got a corn feed organic chicken to roast for Sunday lunch. It was succelent..
After being out so late last night at the club, I don't kmow how I made Spin (RPM) this morning at Fitness First...my girlfriends dont neither!! Last night was a blast, and I don't think I sat down the entire night! That is not necessarily a bad thing because you drink less hootcy juice!
Anyway.. I think I got home around 3am, which was late enough, but it was a fab night out! to be sure, to be sure heh!

This week I managed 52 lengths of the pool @25 metres per length! So multiply that up! I am getting stronger..last week it was 46 in a hour! Yup, I am happy about that as I am fighting back rightly after my pneumonia events :) :)

So there you go, I called it in and you all know I call a spade a spade. Being pretty flexible it isn't often that I am irritated about something but for someone who holds such views on how others conduct themselves on Vampire Rave, and then to turn around and take from a Charity the Rave was sponsoring is just two-faced. I am happy that the Charity Auction has now been brought to a conclusion by a honourable person, and someone who will pay the amount which was bid for the Charity profile!

In Ireland we celebrate Harvest Thanksgiving in our Churches, but also in the farms' barns! Tomorrow evening I go to one of these Barn Dances n' Bar-b-Que to celebrate the Harvest!!
I am sooo, looking forward to this! I even went today and bought a chequered shirt to wear with my jeans n' cowboy ankle highs! It all kicks of at 10pm, althought I envisage that a little early so people will probably start to arrive about 11.30pm. We are spit roasting a pig, and have the bar-b-que ready for the sirloins! There is a rodeo bull coming over, and YES! if I get legless enough I might just try that hahaa!
The bar license has been granted until 4.30am, so I can imagine it is going to be a real *hoot*!!
I did the health and safety on the project.. I have made sure I have fenced of the slurry tank, haha..just incase there is any eejits around!!
Roll on tomorrow , yahoooooooooooo!

*Zapped*!! I did fifty two lengths of a twenty five meter pool after work tonight - my niece knows just how to make her Aunty Pam keep on going. Damn! I felt like the duracell bunny hehe!
It is amazing how energised I feel after excerise 'tho..pity that only lasts about 30 minutes or so 'tho!
Total meters swam today 1,300 :)

I don't think all people understand how serious the global recession is. There is actually people waking up to the fact that they don't have a roof over their heads anymore, or that their savings have now been limited to a maximum amount by the bank. A lot of people are going to be down, the rich will get poorer, but the poor will get poorer also.
We were lucky, my husband anticipated all of this and make the necessary arrangements pre-recession. I am grateful he had the wisdom, and fortitude in all of this, as others are not so lucky.
So, which bank or builiding society is going to be next? It is like a contagion.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the adults and children who died this morning in the aircrash in Russia. The news video below gives details.
Coming with an airline industry background I am concerned like many others, with regard to the frequency of crashes that are happening lately. Maybe it is poor maintainence, or pilot error but it really makes you think about safety prior to booking a ticket to go anywhere!
I remember speaking to a very experienced chief pilot of an international airline, and he told me it would not be long until the skies were so packed with aircraft that airliner accidents or incidents would be a yearly occurence. I for one hope his statistics are incorrect!

Since Europe opened it's border the National Health Service is going into decline for British Nationals as foreign nationals have a right to use the services our Trusts offer. My immediate thoughts on this is to avail of treatment maybe use a pointing system based on how much contribution you have made to the British Government. This may be a fairer way to decide on priority of treatments for individuals.
Failing that, in my opinion they should go back to the country they are Nationals of and seek medical help there.

No-one would believed me that my clothes were wet. No-one believed me that my bed felt damp. No-one believed me that my duvet and pillows were clammy, and most of all noone believed me when I said it was because of this "damp" that I caught puemonia so many times last winter and I was really ill.
Well, that was until I got a DAMPBUSTER! and now they have to believe me!!! Approximately a litre a hour so far has been extracted. Nods, now they have to believe me and he has to find out why at last! I suspect a broken pipe somewhere..or a bust in the foundations maybe.. but there is no visible evidence of damp other than the moisture in the air, so it is really weird and it has just started over the past 9 months or so.
Time to get into the guest bedroom, as there ain't any way I'm going through the same tough time as I did earlier this year!

Well, my sister texted me from her place in Tunisa today to tell me she is coming back to Ireland for a few weeks before heading out to Austrailia for the down-under summer time. I told her to wear a wet suit over..it is pissing with rain here (the irish summer) and it hasn't ceased all season.
Today, I added a few new career clothes to my wardrobe..pinstripes bleh! and well to spice it up a bit I got a fedora! heh. Even in the office army "uniform" I prefer to maintain my individuality :)
Morbid thought..I asked hubby today whch graveyard he would prefer to get buried in...the Catholic one or the Protestant one? haha, and you know what he said..He said, "I haven't seen any feedback forms yet coming back from a graveyard, so I don't know!" giggles..always the comedian, he is so smart!
