I have to go over to London for a conference in May, and hubby surprised me by saying we could stay over for a couple extra days! Yay! So, now I am excited.. Such a contrast from yesterday!



I've already booked a wee boutique hotel near Regents Park, and I am looking up what theatre shows are on in the West End too. Plus, plus I will get to see an old friend Penny who I used to fly with as a stewardess when we were based in Amman. Jebus, how things can change on a daily basis!

Yesterday was not a good day. I am a sensitive person, so I spent most of the day weepy (reference journal entry below).. It's not that I have expectations of friends, but I just felt betrayed. I guess we all have been there some time or another. In any case I got a text this morning apologising .. But to be honest, I don't know if I will feel the same way again. Maybe it's a fault of mines, but once someone let's me down it's difficult for me to revisit with them again.

Today is Hubby's birthday, and I am trying to spoil him! I got up way early to make breakfast before his visit to the gym, but nope wasn't having any! Tonight I have arranged for tea with some of his family.. He is a family type of man, and enjoys he closeness of other family members there during the big occasions like Christmas and Birthdays.



I was pushed behind my endurance level at the gym today, but tears did not avert, 'the do it again' from Steve. I know, I have paid for a trainer for years.. But I am at my peak lifting weights I never thought I could and enduring physical performances I never thought possible. So, it's been worth every penny as I don't believe I could of achieved as much of a push as the Stevey boy delivers. He packs a punch!

They are limbering up for St. Patrick's day in Dublin at the moment. American's are already in situ..keen, happy to be there to participate in the enjoyment of their Irish roots :) last night when we came back from theatre traditional Gaelic music was drafting out full blast along the banks of the River Liffey. Kegs of Guinness are being rolled into the public houses, and you feel the sense of green purpose in the air.



Personally we are happy to be away from Dublin for this period.. As there are tooooo many drunk leprechauns around!

Hubby is taking me down there for a couple of days for my birthday present and the main attraction for me will be watching this Shakespeare play live on stage :)
