Something woke me up during deep sleep, so okay first reaction, I sprinkle some Holy Water around..but wait, spirits don't smoke! I cam smell cigarette smoke a mile off. Well, thank God for burglar alarms and mobile phones. I can honestly say the investment in a security alarm is worth peace of mind.

Just counting the days to September.. I don't get this hokey pokey little yellow no bikini weather we have been having. Just throw me a yellow life jacket until I get off on cruise to sunnier climes. Hubby mentioned Cape Verde tonight..had to look that one up to see where it is! I'd be good to go with that ☺☺☺

I made reference to starting a charity in an earlier journal entry, and I have found a need for the provision of an all night drop in centre for those in mental need such as those with suicidal thoughts.



I have found out there is grant funding available to the tune of half a million pounds, and I have spoken to someone who is willing to donate premises. Now, all I need is to put it altogether and find 2 counsellors. I am excited about this, and it's so badly needed especially for the young. I am reluctant to talk about this on FB as I need confirmation and registration of the charity first.



Bringing in another lady in with me who can only add to the entire project. It's all go and I expect development prior to this time next year. ☺

Thanks love..my understanding of this is the samartian councillors are only available during 9 to 5 here (after that you leave a message fir them to call you back) which is crazy considering a lot of issues are outside of those times! So.. I thought I would change that. Hopefully I will with the right support ☺

I am ready now to step up my leg weights to 2kg for each leg. This should make for interesting hill climbs and cycling sessions. ( yea I will get on the bike again) I will. They certainly should make my walks more challenging, especially the rises. ☺

I heard someone talk about fall already, and in Ireland we are still waiting for summer to begin. With that being said it was sunny today ..first sunshine from June that I can recall, so I took my bicycle out for a spin and whilst going uphill a landrover came to close, so I took the wobbles and fell off. 😑 I hurt myself and left with my neck, arm and side sore. I swear if I ever see that driver (and it's a very small country in Ireland) I shall toast his balls and feed them to the feral cats!

My husband reminded me I used to spend 4 hours a day here *minimum* and now it's down to minutes or seconds some 12 years later.



A lot of good people left as different changes and drama came to VR and MySpace and then Facebook happened. The world had moved on in terms of internet technology than what the site had to offer.



I have made a few nice friends on this website, and so we communicate on FB rather than on here. I would support a VR comeback though as being a foundling member I wouldn't like to see it flounder and so, I am looking forward to all these new updates ☺

I am left to think that the drama was only exacerbated by the last time a major change was done to the system. People saw that 1 ratings hurt and so does an exorbitant amount of blocks. So, they took that proverbial ball and ran like hell with it. In enabling those who live for the drama on this site to do harm to another's level, the system has been the site's downfall as I'm sure plenty of people believe.

One day, I may actually sit down and write again and I know I would love to learn to play the piano. Always, I have felt inspired to run my hands along the keys in hope of making a tune. Sometimes it works.



A lot of inspirations.. places to go and things to do; with the love, chatter and laughter of good friends. I've been fortunate in life, but I worked hard through self determination and a strong will to succeed. So, I cherish everything in life as struggle has been no stranger.



Each day brings me closer to discovery that I am not of self but rather a vessel on a longer journey to discover perfection, and peace. It's a bit like being alone in a still desert but it's so full of life.

Gosh we need a Leader to lead our country, it's just a mess with no direction. At least Nicola Sturgeon has appeared as one and Tony Blair. I wish either one of them could do it. There isn't anyone else with a steel backbone that I can see who can negotiate their way through his whole brexit mess.



Glad I have dual nationality. .one Irish and one UK passport.

Australia's fucked, too. We had an election 3 days ago and no PM was decided upon (hung parliament after a double dissolution) - it may take a month before we have another leader.

I'm not glad I have dual nationality - because my dual is English and Australian. So I'd be leaving one shitstorm for another.
