Today would of been my stepfather's birthday, except he is dead. Well, at least he is thought of on his birthday. If my Angel see's this, I hope you will pass the message on. :)
I think we have had the mildest winter on record this year, and I can count the morning frosts on one hand which is very rare for where I live. Now Spring is in the air, and I love this time of year where there is new growth and the scent of flowers. Missed my winter photographs this year though! Can't wait for the clocks to go forward.
COMMENTS
Kinda been the opposite here but I am so over it, time for Spring to hurry up and get here already.
I like mild soon to be hot weather.
while in malta it was colder and more rainy than usual, this week has been fair at least
You have really overstepped the mark with me, and I am not even sure that I can be a friend any more as you always seem to want to take it beyond that point. I miss talking to you as a friend for the value of friendship, but that is all.

There is no shame or harm in what you are saying.
When a person can harm your well being physically or emotionally with their actions it's ok to cut them loose and save your sanity.
Shoot 'em down hun ;-)
I am familiar with this feeling.
Heh. I'm here if you need a shoulder Pam *hugs*.
All photographs are taken with my Samsung Galaxy mobile and taken in Game of Thrones settings with exception of the modern Peace Bridge. These are big files, but there is no other way to appreciate the scene. Sorry about the bit of burn out in the castle photograph. I will go back one day and do that one over again when the sun is shining on it instead of behind it. Now, get your rat's ass over here and get some real old building shots!
COMMENTS
Seeing them blown up so big, I might even go back and take them with the 'real' camera!
Oh you should. :) And trust me- if I ever got the nerve to get on a plane- I would so be there, taking these photos with you. Thanks for sharing these.
Just amazing! Love seeing pictures like this :)
Something so musical about ole Ireland. Very pretty indeed.
Thanks, I like the Peace Bridge shot. I will have to go back there and take it with the good camera as I would love a black and white of that one :) It would look fabulous blown up and framed in one of the
restaurants :)
Whoa...the Peace Bridge shot, is amazing!
They are beautiful.
These are so beautiful.
Thank you :) The door is open anytime VW whenever you get the bravado to fly.. Bring Nightgame and Elemental with you!
awesome
I decided sitting an exam would not be in my interest at the present time considering I lost so much time in and out of hospitial recently. I think, I lost around three weeks of study time, so I would be extremely disadvantaged to start with prior to sitting the examination. So, I have deferred it to the autumn sit. :)
I have had my second work out at the gym today after my medical procedure and I am still easily winded, but it was a big lung improvement from the first one. So, progress was made! I hope to get back to my fitness level within a month. I was only able to use a total of 8kg weights today. ;)
COMMENTS
Glad to hear there was improvement dear, this is good news. Also smart of you to wait for your studies, they will still be there :)
I just gave an enormous sigh when I read the word gym, but then it is after 4am ;-)
I am wondering why phobias should just suddenly develop? One day, the person is fine and the next panic attacks of having cotton wool pleats in the mouth at the dentist? Or, having no fear of getting into an elevator and then suddenly developing a fear for enclosed or confined spaces.. Why, should this happen.. Instead of being called claustrophobia it sounds more like freak-o-phobia! out the blue, wham, hits you in-between the eyes!
COMMENTS
Good question, I wonder what triggers things like that, some kind of life change?
It is weird but the answer is in the 'triggers'!
I noticed a 30 something female still wearing her, "Head Girl" badge from college! Well, I truly had to laugh at that but then I got to wonder how many people do stay in the past like that? Maybe being the Head Girl was her only achievement in life and being proud of it some fifteen years later is all she could hope to achieve?? I don't understand why some people get so stuck in the past, and don't push themselves to achieve better things in their life.
Me, I'll admit it.. I never was head girl or prefect material, god forbid! But I was Captain for Templar House and my gad did we blaze the sports field! We won the school cup three years in a row for the house :)
I have always been very competitive ever since.. Putting myself in doorways to earn success, and I think I have achieved and learned to a certain extent, but I certainly would not be wearing my house captain badge!
COMMENTS
Because instead of living in the past you have taken what you have learned and applied it to life to further yourself and person. Some folks just don't know how to do that.
Love this entry. Maybe she was doing it for a laugh. You should try it as it's about self-esteem.. lol
I only have another 100+ ratings to go before I make my 5%.. I wonder if I could ever bear to get it done! Le sigh, It's coming slowly.. seven years later lmao.

You'll do it, you have to. because its VR can't help it.... its -looks around and whisper- its an addictive site, its like drugs you can't avoid it
We all do.... we all.... do
-looks around and panic then runs away- WE ALL DO!!!!
MUHAAAAAAAAA!!!
lol Serenity, you are nicely nuts! but yes, it's affirmative.. all Vampires have finger tips worn to the bone!
Just shows you have a life :)
wah the ratings!
I have a choice, stay here and study, or go to the theatre in Dublin to see, "DA" by Hugh Leonard tomorrow night. Drums fingers.. I think I know what is going to win!
COMMENTS
I bet you have a great time. My sort of show.
Sounds like a wonderful way to spend your evening, have fun Pammy :)
I did not enjoy this production... The humour was zany, and way of the wall for any Irish man to enjoy! Way out mannnnn, was my expression when I left the theatre. I don't think this play will be such a big hit in Ireland as it was in the USA.
I find that American and English humor differ widely..
I have more environmental exams coming up soon, so I probably will just be doing fly-by's on VR for a while. Just enough time to do the honours and then off again.
Over the weekend though, I hope to get at least a hour to upload my photograhs of Glendalough in Co Wicklow that I took on our recent Valentines trip :) Ciao x
COMMENTS
Looking forward to the photographs :-)
Can't wait to see them :)
Happy Valentines to all :). I hope you have a special day remembering those you love, be it girlfriend, boyfriend, wife, husband, friends, or family :). It's good we have a day like this to honour all those that we love.
Hubby has taken me away for two days to Wicklow..we are staying in a lovely hotel in the wild Wicklow mountain region and today we are hoping to get some good photographs of the area which will include old round towers, churches and countryside. (weather and light permitting) I have my little Nikon with me, but he has brought down the entire regalia including his two Canons, lenses and tripod! (guess who will have to do the carrying whilst he shoots hrmmp) Should make for an interesting couple of days :)

Happy Valentines Day Pam! Love you lady ♥
Have fun and a great dirty errr mid-week!!
Of course you get to carry. You're the one getting all braw from working out. :P
I remember back in the 90's when Seaba said to me that she would love to come visit me and see Ireland. It was her dream to do that, and I am only sorry that she never got to realise her dream. We had many chats down the years, and in recent times she really appeared to be getting stronger and recovering from her illness.
She was a kind, gentle woman who had a great deal of graciousness and she will be sorely missed by all who loved her. Thank you Cancer for letting us know about her death.
COMMENTS
...and yet another.
I know I will miss her.
:(
Looks like we are off to Venice, the Greek Isles and Croatia this summer.. counting the weeks, it is exactly 16 weeks to go! Time to get the winter tyres burned off down the gym! Boxecise and weights here I come!

Hehe, I still have last years pics to put up! Still of course I will get them up sometime! thanks a lotta
Anything on the Med makes for a great time. Have fun.
I hope you have a marvelous time. :)
Sounds awesome Pammy, you need this :)
Earl Grey tea is so tasty.. He returned with a pack of it today for me as I seemed to develop a flavour for it when I was in England recently. The only thing missing was the Royal Albert china tea cups they laid on over there.. So my Bushmills whisky mug will have to do!
COMMENTS
I love Earl Grey tea, am wanting to try the Lady Grey.
I seen Lady Gray in the supermarket so I will be sure to get it next time! Thanks for the tip Pandy :)
Someone said to me when I got out of hospital last night that I haven't thought of myself in a while. So when I was home I got around to thinking that maybe they are right, but it would of been selfish and vain of me to think that way particularly when so many people close to us have suffered the loss of loved ones recently. Their needs were greater than mines and I am quite happy to help and be there for those I love in time of need.
However I am beginning to think now that people I love are finding their own feet again that I could take a little time and get my girly things sorted out. Silly, but I am excited about going to get french gel nails and my eyebrows shaped, and tinted as well as my eyelashes this evening. Smiles.. well, why not.. I feel happy after the news I got yesterday :)
COMMENTS
You were in the hospital? O.o
Its true what they say" Kindness begins at home"
Be good to yourself,so you can be good to others...
I really hope things are ok with you on the hospital aspect!!!!
Yes, you need this. Get that pampering done and relax now that yesterday is over with :)
I just know I will be at this level forever, unless I get stuck into the database again..but then I already did so much for it in the past, that I don't know if I have the heart for it again.
COMMENTS
I feel you. I go to rate profiles ... and I cannot sit and do 150 or 300 ... I get through 15 and think, "Oh, hell no ... "
My ratings on this account are pretty much at the max, it's just low on database submissions Req, so thank zee lucky stars I don't have to do the ratings thing on this account anymore. I think you were gone for a while when the original database was wiped and it had to be started again from zilch. I think the existing team and Morrigon rewrote it, however it was time consuming work on both scores.
A positive thing about hubby being overseas is that I can eat what I like! I got a chinese for tea tonight *YUM* salted chilli king prawns and fried rice, and lots and lots of chocolate after! *mental note* must remember to put the fish in the bin he had lined up for me tonight! chuckles..

Naughty naughty :P
I am drooling now. Thank you. :D
Love Chinese .. .x
Edel, and I stayed up chatting until 03.45 this morning.. we laughed when we seen the time because as most of us know when you get chatting with friends in a relaxed way you never seem to notice the time pass by! We both got four hour sleep as we were up with the kids this morning. They both are hurting so much over the recent death of their father.... for some reason it is hard to believe it has happened.
Wishing I could get out of this sugar kick.. It gets harder each time I revert back To eating more carbs than I need. I just can't seem to hang it up to dry this time around...

I shake my finger at you in scolding!
And, I encourage you to get rid of that lovely poison.
:)
Aww thanks Dee, it is good to feel the support!
It's all about 'balance'. A bar of chocolate in each hand does it for me!!
I remember this time last year... it was just as cold as it is now. I hope the snows come, but there again it would be good if they waited until after the funeral for my husbands brother. I can't understand why they should keep a body for so long in England before it is buried either.. here in Ireland we waked and buried in three days after death.
