With each step she takes,

Another memory fades.

She yearns for his forgiveness,

Making her life his mess.

She soon reaches the end of The Cliff,

Her only support.

Below lies the rocky, icy water,

Much like his kisses;

Beautiful yet fatal.

His heart, thought to be as cold and black as

the abyss below, leaves her behind

as she takes aother swigg of wine.

Looking to the sky for an answer;

She sees the solitary moon.

The same moon they studied together;

Hand in hand.

She drops the empty bottle to it's ultimate

as one lone tear rolls down her cheek.

Stinging much like his heart's abandonment.

The calling wind whisps past

her neck, giving her chills;

Identical to the shiver to the three unmerciful

words spoken to her.

The betrayal of those very words,

pounding in her head as

all the voices of the past come together

to greet the end.

She stares over the edge,

realizing that the blade she'd

come accustomed to didn't fight the

numb feeling she'd been trying to

escape for so long.

One last memory fades while the uncertain

step is taken.

As she drops,

every memory of the love they shared

coagulated in her head.

Death soon arrives as her

only and final comfort.
