As dawn approaches he wakes up
Wandering around all alone
He’s the last of his kind and he knows it
All his life he’s watched others been killed
He’s sick of life but afraid of death
The bones of last nights knights
Crumble under his mighty claws
Their flesh fills his stomach
And tonight more will come
In the meantime he arranges his horde
Though there are none to show it to
His mate, friends and young are gone
Killed and eaten long ago
Each human who crosses his path
He tears apart with no remorse
As none was shown to his people
His blood boils with rage
But nothing will change the past
Some of his wounds are infected
He knows that his time is almost up
And when he is gone it’s the end
Of the age of dragons
Mankind’s greatest fear will be dead
Tip tap tip on my window pain
I look outside as it starts to rain
I see all the birds start to fly away
They hate being wet so they won’t stay
All the people outside open up their umbrellas
I don’t bother with the girls I just look at the fellas
Wishing my man could come to me
As I could use some company
Spending my afternoon inside
Wishing I could be outside
And dance in the rain
But getting sick would be a pain
It’s cold outside and inside to
I’m so bored got nothing fun to do
Studying and assignments are no fun
I’d rather be out walking in the sun
The sound of the rain is making me sleepy
The howl of the wind is really creepy
Thunder and lightning seem to happen so fast
And they’ll continue till the storm is past
Normally I love it when it rains
But trying to work is such a strain
As I listen to the rain hitting the window pain
And then start to flow down the public drain
The water will eventually meet the sea
But unlike the water I can never be free
I’m stuck inside my house all day
Just living my life feeling like a stray
My goals and inspirations are to far away
For me to relax and find some time to play
Stuck in my own little world I’ll stay
As the clouds in the sky start to move away
As I see the sun setting on another day
I wish I could live my life some other way
The rainbow outside gives me some hope
If I believe in myself then I might just cope
Like the trees outside I will stand tall
Storms will come and go I’ll outlive them all
Maybe I should just accept my destiny and fate
Find my place in life and start to feel great
The males prefer nectar
The female’s blood
When the sexes meet
They go mating in the mud
The eggs are laid in water
To hatch and fly away
They mostly eat at night
And sleep during the day
The females drink from anything
Humans and animals will both do
Anything that’s alive and still
With blood flowing fresh and new
A bat is hanging upside down
His wings are a shade of brown
He does his hunting in the night
And goes to sleep as it gets light
He uses sonar to find his prey
Very few ever get away
As this flying mouse is king
Of the sky and everything
That roams around at night
Seeing one fly is a delight
As long as ones not in my hair
The trees outside can be their lair
A raven is a small and cunning bird
At least from everything I’ve heard
He fly’s around and pinches things
He’s quick and light upon his wings
He’s magical and can see death
He isn’t frightened by its breath
He flies around both day and night
And some who see him get a fright
But to me he is a wonder
In his eyes I can see thunder
He warns me of a storm ahead
My destiny I do not dread
The storms will come and pass I know
And I’ll learn from them and I’ll grow
I thank the raven and off he flies
Back into the cloudy skies
Standing gazing out at the night
The moon is shining down so bright
Illuminating all the ground
Its silvery light makes no sound
Behind him is a girl in white
Standing gazing at the night
She reaches out to touch his cloak
Love from him she wants to evoke
He tries to act like she’s not there
Letting her in just isn’t fair
Standing gazing at the night
He knows his lust just isn’t right
As she is young and innocent
Because of her he’s in torment
Her blood would fill him with delight
Standing gazing out at the night
At twelve o’clock the wind goes still
The living are all safe in bed
No moon to light the window sill
For this is the night of the dead
The dead are rising from the grave
From where they pass the stone turn red
A piece of heaven’s all they crave
For this is the night of the dead
Bodies present though far from whole
Joint together and filled with dread
A primer ache for credit soul
For this is the night of the dead
Colosseum Coliseum Flavian Amphitheatre
These words all mean the same
There all the name of a special place
Synonymous with pain
Situated in the heart of Rome
And build in days of old
In its prime it was a sight to see
Or so I have been told
People would travel from all around
To watch people and animals fight
In those days it was acceptable
But today it’s just not right
In modern times is gigantic place
Is a relic of the past
Standing tall though not complete
The rest of it will last
For all of those who wish to see
And enter in its space
Walking in a monument
Build for the human race
For though its violent days are past
Mankind is not yet done
Many have not changed their ways
They’re still killing just for fun
The world is now their spectacle
Broadcast on the TV
All the endless violence
Is watched by you and me
The Colosseum is a symbol
Of man kinds brutality
It represents an unwelcome truth
The fight for survival is reality
Underneath the city of love
Hidden away from the world above
Is a maze of tunnels that is truly unique
And not to be entered by those who are weak
Founded on the site of a roman quarry
A place to store bodies in a hurry
The walls are made with human bones
Catacombs which all of Paris owns
They go on for miles and miles
All the bones are stacked in piles
Forming a kind of morbid art
Random bones all taking part
To create a picture of death
Seeing it makes one hold their breath
And ponder on their on mortality
It’s a sharp does of reality
As once someone dies
And gets covered with flies
Their skeleton is all that remains
Like those under Paris drains
Spider
Spinning her web
Hoping to catch some prey
Her invisible snare hangs still
She waits
Death comes
For everyone
Young, sick, healthy or old
No one knows when their time will come
To cease
