Did you ever imagine that one day, you won't have a tomorrow?
You will leave this world, just like everyone else.
People will remember your yesterdays... some more special than others.
Some you don't want to remember.
But they're yours, each one sacred to who you are today.
It is a constant cycle.
Tomorrows will become todays before you know it.
Today will turn into yesterday, and you will face another day in this world.
But all things do come to an end.
Will you regret what you are doing today, tomorrow?
What about when you are gone?
Will some regret how they treated you?
Miss you?
Or will you be forgotten- just like any other yesterday? A memory, playing every so often- like an old song.
Will you waste tomorrow, worrying about the little things that aren't going to matter in a certain amount of time?
Or will you make something of yourself?
Let yourself be remembered for the tomorrows to come?
If you waste today, tomorrow will be harder- don't you think?
This is a world of conformists.
You learn society, and obey it.
Soon, you aren't even thinking for yourself.
But not me.
I refuse to give up.
I hate being normal.
Regular.
It is not who I was born to be.
But, then I am hurt.
Punished for being different.
They try to make me ashamed of who I am...
But it does not work.
I am stronger than they know.
You think you can break me?
Go ahead and try. I dare you.
Soon, I start to crave the pain.
I dare it to happen.
Edge it on, like a tiger- hunting me.
But that is not right, is it?
I am the huntress.
Strong, and ready for whatever you throw at me.
People like you have no heart, only normality.
In truth, I know I scare you.
And that is why you put me down.
Am I right?
Yes, of course I am.
You are normal.
Nothing more.
You don't frighten me.
I am not weak.
I was forced to live like this for so many years, I am now numb to anything else you can do to me.
I am more of a man than you will ever be.
More of a woman than you will ever witness.

more than a man...
more than a woman...
a true goddess perhaps?

You are beautiful YOU
but even the tiger knows how to lay down in the grass to stalk its prey.
as satisfying as it is for one of your warrior spirit to stand in the face of those that might try to put you down...
but when you can blend in at will, you can laugh at them and their ways...and hunt them without their even being aware.
no...you are not weak...no sign of that
you have learned the lesson of the oak tree..how to be strong and unbending in the face of adversity...
now its time for the harder lesson...
the lesson of the willow.

everything true...but how different might one live if they had a thousand years of yesterdays...
and an eternity of tomorrows to look forward to?
how might ones wisdom grow? how might one become more tranquil not having to worry about each little tomorrow?
just a thought
