Alone, I sit on a huge balcony, my back against the brick wall. Suddenly, Chris is there, right in front of me. We start to talk, and it's like he's been the whole time, like we're the best of friends. Of course, the relationship we have is so much more than that, in so many ways. As if to prove this, I swing my legs off the railing and really feel the cool stone ground of the balcony for the first time. His legs hang off the edge, like before, but now he slides closer to me. I swing my arms around his neck, hishands already around my waist. Finally, as if we've waited a hundred years for this moment, we kiss. Slow at first, gradually building up to the point where I can't even breathe. Even better, even more... right than my dream. when we pull back, I notice that he's wearing a tux. Unusual, considering that just a minute ago, he'd been wearing nothing but long, black jeans. Also, instead of my cami and jeans, I now wore a goregous, sparkly purple- blue dress. He just laughs at my shocked expression, and leads me to the middle of the balcony. We started twirling to the to the gentle music, the moon and starsas our spotlight. After a while, we gradually slowed to a walk, just stepping side to side. I rested my head against his chest. This moment is flawless. Everything I was suffering for, suddenly seemed to melt away. The emptiness I felt in the center of my chest was now filled and over flowing woth the love Chris had for me. I returned that love, too. I became even more aware of the miracle tha held me there against his perfection. I felt his perfect lips against my hair. And he whispered against it- " I knew I would find you." The music that seemed to come from nowhere ended, and he lifted me into his strong, stunning arms. He stepped out, onto the railing and jumped. We landed on the cool grass beneath, he holding me as tight as possible. We layed down there, on the cold grass all night, interlaced as much as possible. Of course, neither of us could fall asleep. Before either of us wanted it to, the sun slowly rose. I just sighed. I knew that eventually my miracle would have to end. Sensing my expression, Chris spoke the clearest, most perfect words I will ever hear. " I know you've been thinking about running away. This night doesn't have to end. Come with me. I love you, and I pray that you return that love. We can go anywhere, as long as we're together. Will you come?" Like he really needed to ask! " Yes. Forever and always. I love you, too." So, we sprinted into the woods, me in his arms. Neither of us were THAT strong.
