Tick, tock, tick tock....I hate waiting for hair color to process! Seems like an eternity. I have been pretty productive today, I did a bunch of cleaning and I chopped kindling for the wood stove and brought in a bunch of wood. It is suppose to get into the 20's tonight, so I figured, what the hell. Now my so called break is just waiting to be able to wash this mess out of my hair...LOL So I figured I would sit down here and stay put so I won't get any drips and drops anywhere around the house. This stuff is a bitch to get off of anything. That is all I have to report at the moment...LOL
Something that I used to do almost every winter but have not done in, shit I cannot remember since it has been so long, was working a couple of jigsaw puzzles. I even have a puzzle mat so i can just roll it up when I want it off of the table. One of the best places to get good ones around here is Hobby Lobby, so I must make it a point to get there. But yesterday while on break from school I ran into Michael's to look at some kids crafts to buy for my nephews and neice for Christmas and lo and behold puzzles! Their selction was not very good at all but I did come out of there with one.
I finally have my first brew going! Right now it is in the secondary. On the transfer last night it smelled really, really good. Come Sunday, it will be bottling time!!!! Then a couple of weeks after that, time to sample! :) I am calling this one Porter Av

I had a really awesome time on my birthday this year, as I usually do. We left out of here about 12:30 Central time and headed east toward Toledo, which is about a 3 hour drive, so not too bad on the ass. We ended up stoppin in Elkhart Indiana so I could go to this wine and beer supply store. So I finally broke down and got my first brewing kit, with the fermentation bucket, the secondary and the bottler and a bunch of other stuff came in there...YAY! By reccomendation of my friend I bought one of those kits that have everything in it for a batch. I picked out one that was called robust porter. The first "real" batch I will do after the kit will be an IPA which are my favorite!!! So, we get to Toledo and head to the local brew pub. (Gotta try the local craft beers) This place was called Maumee Bay Brewing Co. I started off with their IPA and then went to the double IPA! Very tasty! And the food was really good too!!! So we then head to the hotel which is in a different part of town so we could get ready to go out. I am heading to my room and I see Joe Letz and Trevor from Combichrist! I about shit. I exchanged a few words with them and told them I would be seeing them later. Got changed and make-up on and we took the hotel free shuttle to the club which was nice and the hotel gave us the number for a taxi for the ride back. The club was really cool and the sound in this place was phenominal!! If I ever see a band come around that I really like and they are playing there, it is definitly worth the drive!! There were a mix of people in costumes and some not. One girl was little bo peep and she had a halter top on and just the apron! NO SHIT! Her ass was hanging right outta that get up! I was shocked they let her in there. There was a really cool Edward Scissorhands and the main guy from Clockwork Orange! There was also this guy in a wheel chair(for real), but his costume was him in a hospital gown...LOL The opening bands ranged from metal to punk/thrash to industrial and they were all pretty good. There was a DJ playing gret tunes in between bands. This was the first show I had been to in ages that had a mosh pit. People were getting crazy. Combichrist fucking rocked the shit outta the place. They mainly played tunes from their new CD and some of the old faves. To me the set did not seem to be as long as their normal sets, but I was pretty buzzed and the main band to me can never play too long. So the show is over and we go to call the cab and all it does is kick to voicemail. WTF! We even had the bouncer call another number and the same. Oh crap, no way back and 2 eally buzzed people=not good. So we go out and start asking around for a ride. I take a seat on the brick landscaping and start chatting with the girl sitting there. Every once in awhile I would say out loud that we need a ride and we will pay you!!! LOL We ended up getting a ride from the wheel chair guy! LOL The van was really crazy. It was like a bed in the back and there were a bunch of people in there. I was laying on someones leg, not sure whos though. But it was a ride! Got back to the room and it was lights out!!!

Now that's a helluva Birthday, hehe ! Glad you had a happy one :)
Thanks girlie!!!
Haha, that sounds like a crazy awesome time. And as much as it might have sucked to have to bum around for a ride, kinda added to the adventure, eh? Cool to get a sneak peek at what their set list will probably be like when I see them in a couple of weeks too. Glad it was a great birthday all in all!
I'd do it again Justin! LOL

Haha, funny, I'm going to be coloring my hair dark red tomorrow but it's just going to be that 'washes out in a few days' stuff. I have to make a business trip down to DC in a couple of weeks to meet with Feds and should probably be kosher looking for that!
