Many of us are insecure about some aspect of ourselves. Did I make the right decision? Do people like me? How do others see me? One of the first steps to believing in your personal power of intuition is to believe in yourself and stop being concerned with how others perceive you. Play the mental game - is this the best option? Plain and simple - would Option A work out for the best, or would Option B be a better choice? Taking the time to consciously think something over will improve the outcome of almost any situation. With each success, mentally applaud yourself for making the choice!
Danger isn't just in a bar late in the evening - it can be all around you. How many times have you watched some situation unfolding before your eyes and thought something like, "If he/she doesn't stop (fill in the blank here), they are going to have a big problem!" Sure enough, the outcome is just as you suspected it would be. Don't wait to be justified... Step in and do something before it's too late. If you save someone some serious trouble, it just doesn't matter if you look a bit odd!
Be aware of everything around you. Turn your head to each side to get a good understanding of all elements in your "zone" and keep track of how things are changing. Some one has a yapping little dog down the block and you see a big dog running loose down the next block. Warn the person with the little dog to pick their dog up and prepare for the loose dog. Don't worry about how silly you might sound.
Above all, when you feel a jittery feeling in the pit of your stomach or a prickling of nerves at the back of your neck, think about what might be causing it. If there is a sudden hum in your head, try to remember the exact thing you were thinking about the split second before it started no matter how strange or unrelated to what you were doing it may seem. We all have nerve nets around us, whether we actually know it or not. It's the very thing that lets us feel a puff of air on our arm or a "change of vibration" in our area.
Remember that thoughts produced in a person's brain are made of electrical charges. A radio station sends out electrical impulses in the form of a broadcast over the air waves that are eventually picked up by a receiver. Even if you can't hear specific words, if someone else sends out a very strong thought, either negative or positive, you might be able to receive the feeling of their intent while there is still time to handle the situation in the best possible way.
Sometimes, when playing the hindsight game, we actually tell ourselves what we might have done if only...... Try asking yourself if there is something going on that just might make you say later - "If only I had paid attention!" Plain common sense can often avert danger.
"Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood."
