beloved shadow's passing

He was born to a first time mother who did not know what to do, she tried to do what her instincts told her but they just were not strong enough, especially as the pregnancy and birth had taken so much from her that she herself was close to death several times. His litter mates, both sisters, were larger than he, but he had spunk.

As they were about ten days old we took them and stared supplimenting their food with baby formula and cat nutrients. By the Will of The Gods they survived and grew strong each day. Then after about a week, a ferral cat that we feed and who had an attachment to my mate came inside and saw the kittens, we had recently had her "fixed" because there were already 11 cats outside, belonging to her and her sister. She was a very good Mama, she went over to the kittens who we had in a bed in the living room and started licking them and then got into the bed and started nursing them. She tried several time to take them outside with her, but we would not let her, so she would go outside for alittle while then come back in and clean and feed them, alway giving us her Evil Eye LOL.

All three at first grew quickly and we loved them, as they loved us. After a few months we noticed that Shadow, who's coloring looked as though at times he was dark grey and then he would turn and there would be light reflected off him as though there were shadows behind him, thus his name Shadow.

He was very playful, his sisters were bossy and pushy but they would all come together and groom each other at night, as though they knew that they were were, in many ways, in the ways of Cats, they were all each other had, well except for the humans that were their slaves :)

A couple of months ago, one of them we did not know which one started pooping all over the house and as I am alergic to cats, but was just dealing with it because I love them sooo much could not deal with the amonia that was emitting from where they was poop and pee every where. We decided that as they were 5 months old and very strong we could put them outside with the other older cats. They already went outside when they wanted, we had put in a cat door for them. For several weeks they did well loving to play and hunt.

A few ago one of them started pooping again with diahrea on the porch/deck. We watched and found it was shadow, we tried worming him, we tried giving him extra nutrients, we tried everything we could afford to do. But he continued to decline and did not grow anymore he is now half the size of his sisters, and this morning as I went out to feed everyone I saw him under the deck bench, he did not come for the food even though I shook the feed bowl very loudly. I knew then that we had lost him, he had decide to let go and cross the Rainbow bridge to the meadow beyond. I lit candles and ask the Great Mother to speed his crossing on the bridge so he would have love, fun, and many creatured to play with.

Shadow we love and and will miss you so much. You gave us so much in love and joy may the meadow beyond embrace you and give you joy...

And the Saga continues

15:30 Aug 13 2011

At 17 years of age our young girl found out that when the Fates have a destiny in store for you you cannot rewrite it, you cannot escape it, no matter what you try; you may delay it, you may get there in a totally round about way, but you will get there, then what you do is totally up to you. There is a belief that humans have freewill, well yes we do or so I believe, however, the Fates can and do influence our Will.

Let us take our young girl.... She lived with her mom and dad at a farm like home, back in the boondocks of no where, she was happy, carefree, and love it. She had her animals, her friends within the forest, she had people to interact with when she needed to and to a certain extent she had freedom, a lot more than most 13 yr old's do at that age and in that time.

That was when her world crashed the first time, her Dad, who she knew had his "interest" away from home, but always was there to provide for them and whenever she needed him, went away totally. After struggling for months to keep food on the table, propane in the tank and the electricity on, her mother decided that they would have to move to the city so she could get a better paying job. Fate had extend she first hand...

Who I was

00:38 Aug 13 2011
Times Read: 503

Let us turn the wheel of time back lets say.... oh let us say 32 years..... To the place: Huntsville Alabama the year: 1979

A young girl, with above average IQ struggles to find herself in a world that has turned upside down for her.

Her father who was not her father, though she thought he had loved her as if he were her father, chooses his wife, who is not her mother, and sends her into what is laughingly called Child Protective Services/Foster Care.

In this new world that she is thrown into she decides that no one will ever have control of her life again unless she gives them that right. She joins clubs looking for her new identity and she finds her way, Speech/debate and Reserved Officer Training Corp or ROTC

These two clubs show her that she is very good at speaking, writing and when needed debating issues, ROTC gives her a way to achieve her new goals, she will be a politician, a lawyer, a defender of all that is right and just!!! She will become a Marine, starting out as an MP, attending college and then Law School she will then become a Military Lawyer, and with further training in International Law eventually after about 25 yrs she will become a diplomat then a senator, then President of the United States of America!!! So help her God!!

Whoa there... look out someone she did not even know existed decided NO this is not what is needed and just like that her plans were shredded, her dreams were shattered and she was thrown again into a world not of her choosing...

Part II

Well - even with the difficulty, 'she' has never backed down and given up!

And why did you have to mention the year I graduated from high school? Some memories I'd like to forget...lol!
