Cherry Blossoms in the Park
By: JD Allen
Walking thru the park I see, cherry blossoms falling from the trees.
Gently floating on the breeze, their wondrous fragrance makes me sigh.
With the sun caressing my face, they take me to a distant place.
A beautiful woman with lips that tasted like cherry wine.
Her face I can still see, and what it meant to be home with thee.
Like the cherry blossoms floating down.
Landing on the ground, never even making a sound.
Don’t want to let you go

Don’t cry to me,
Because you feel bereft.
If you loved me,
You would have never left.
Now I’m there beside your bed,
With a needle in my hand.
To quell the visions in your head,
It is all part of my master plan.
You belong to me in your dreams,
It doesn’t matter if you see.
How I made you scream,
You would still be here with me.
There you lay wrapped in chains,
Soon you will feel my pain.
