Tonight I found out that a very near and dear friend passed away 2 years ago!
I was reminiscing about old times, and his name was brought up…and he could always bring a smile to my face. We had good times, and sad times…but always choose to remain good friends.
I met him 6 years ago, right here on VR. I’m sure some of you knew him…and his passing will come as a shock to you as well. He was only 22 when he passed away…3 months before his 23rd birthday.
Writing this I keep stopping to wipe the tears…and all I can say is that you’re simply too young to have been taken away. Sometime life is unfair…and the decisions that are made are just unruly and unkind...and so final.
You were someone that spoke your mind..and you’d absolutely be the FIRST person to say “get the fuck out if you don’t like what you hear/see”. You were a dedicated friend to so many…and this girl will never forget your voice…and how I could hear your smile over the phone…so many miles apart.
We never got the pleasure of meeting in person, but Josh…you touched my heart on so many levels…we spent endless hours laughing…speaking on the phone, and millions of words written over YIM/MSN.
Man how you’d help me with my profile here on VR. How patient you were with me…when I was just learning the ropes. I can’t count how many times you’d laugh and shake your head, and fix my coding error, or anything I needed help with for that matter.
I’ve thought about you often…and I am sorry that we lost contact the last few years.
I am heart broken to find out that you choose your own passing…
Just know…I am going to miss you, and always remember I love you. ♥
I am still debating to post 'who' you were... on here.

ALOT has happened in the last 6 years...but I can tell you, the 163.32 days spent here have been some of my best,
I was hoping some one would post this ponder.... i was trying to wrap my head around this of how he was going to do this due to the owner of the web cam ussue.... meaning. whom owns the cam has to 'allow' snap shoots. I heard that some are very good in coding when people can come and turn them on. (known as hackers) But wasn't seeing within Cancer to 'do it' :) (No punt intended here)
I didn't know he told jokes and I can see where people that don't know him might would think it was true. I didn't even see this. New people coming on the site might not see it as a joke or funny

I think the point is that you never HAD privacy. Admins can see it already, so why not everyone else? Unless you're doing something bad, then there's nothing to fear.
Everyone has an opinion, and you don't "Take" that away from them..as they are entitled to it, however I FEEL some ppl are missing the point.

I think it's healthy to have ALL comments allowed,

I always do the same: message center, who's online, journal and kismet, and if needed ( message or something like that I go to the profile the person who messaged me)

I seriously don't think anyone is wanting to hide anything they are doing I mean what the hell could we be doing that needs to be hide. The fact is that should be our option to share or not share what ever move we are making. Our rights have been severed our privacy cut off .
Even and other sites like Vampire Freaks which most are a bunch of emo or punk they can put their entire profile private with a premium membership.
I do not stalk, take honor nor do I cause drama I have nothing to hide like so many others on here. What the hell is Cancer trying to prove by taking what little privacy we had away ? Seems he doesn't freaking care long as he has his money rolling in .

I rather like the feature.. for me, if I don't want the membership to see where I am.. I 'lurk'. If I do want them to see where I am, then I go 'visible' Either way, I don't mind who spots me in whatever location just as long as they can't see what I am doing there or writing in messages! Now, if I would lose the lurk feature.. that would irritate me.

Hmmm, I just looked and May 24 was my 2nd year here on the Rave.
Wow...I can't believe that it's been 2 years already..and when I think from the night that I made this account...till this second, holy crap! Alot has changed.
Friends that I spoke to then, are now moved on...and not on the Rave, or barely come on...but still stay good and close as friends.
I have met people from the Rave...fell in love, had my heart broke...fell in love again, to well never mind...but I am just simply saying I have had a blast.
I have seen friends split with their wifes...gf's, bf's...I have seen the lonely find their mate...I have seen the "wild girls" calm down...and the calm girls become wild...
