A dream is what makes people love life
even when it is painful.

So many people in the world would rather stay
in a situation that's painful but familiar because
they're comfortable with it. Not a lot of people have the
strength or heart to realize when something's
not good for them and to turn around and be alone.

Being misunderstood by people whose opinions
you value is absolutely the most painful.
Who we are

A well known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20 bill.
In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”
Hands started going up.
He said, “I am going to give this $20 bill to one of you -
but first, let me do this.”
He proceeded to crumple the 20 dollar note up.
He then asked “who still wants it”?”
Still the hands were up in the air.
“Well, “he replied, “what if I do this?” He dropped it on
the ground and started to grind it into the floor with
his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
“Now, who still wants it?”
Still the hands went in the air.
“My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money,
you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.
It was still worth $20.
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and
ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and
the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless;
but no matter what happened or what will happen,
you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased,
you are still priceless to those who love you.
The worth of your lives come not in what we do or
who we know, but by…
WHO WE ARE!”

I've always wanted to buy a one way ticket
Have a small backpack...
And just travel, tour and seek.
See the world, like REALLY see the world.
I'm to responsible
I have to many obligations to take off and be irresponsible.
I'd miss my kids to much
Ugh, mother trucker.

I have a craving
I'm missing something, but what?!
I've no clue, but I really feel it.
Just incomplete
It's like I extend my arm and nothing is there to grab a hold.
No, it's not as simple as a "man"
It's deeper.
*sigh*

I did it
I actually did it
I challenged myself, and I actually did better than even I anticipated.
126 hours a week
x's
6 weeks
Do the math !!
Most of you reading this, won't work that in a year!
That is instructional/clinical time
That doesn't include travel
I still managed to do a few "other" things within the last 6 weeks, but fuck that was brutal.
I received two gifts that touched my heart...
Well 3, but that's a WHOLE other story =D
First was a card from my students, with warm heartfelt messages
The second, from my two bosses. Accompanied with touching words and a gift card & flowers.
I was blown away
Then a text message REALLY late last night...
"I know you're bagged, but I just wanted to say don't quit on us, we need you."
You see...I was suppose to be "done" for at least a few days, but they tacked on immediately following
Monday-Friday 10 hour days, 2 different classes
I just shrugged my shoulders and said, I guess that's only 50 more hours
