She stood hearty and strong before me. Her chin chiseled in a boyish square as her mouth firmly pressed her lips together. Her hair was cropped around her face in a bob. The only womanly features were her breasts. They weren't large, but they were there under her ripped chest of leather and metal.
I paused with fear as I felt instantly weak.
Briella was going to let this monster carry me away?
Floating behind her glided a more delicate creature. Her long legs made her look like the perfect model. And she should have been. Her facial features were dramatically feminine.
She stood just as tall as the beast in front of her, but she seemed less frightening. Until she smiled. Her wicked lips twisted as she began to show her ridged teeth. They were pretty, but sinister teeth. Reminding me of a shark.
In an instant I heard a melodious tune. It calmed my heart to a slower pace as I drifted closer to the hideous creatures.
I felt unable to stop moving toward them. My head panicked, but my heart stayed strong and regular. It was like I was kicking and running in my head, but it wasn't what my body was doing.
What was happening?
I'm going to die. I'm going to die.
Why are they doing this? Isn't there a better way?
Tears slid down the sides of my eyes as I followed the two creatures out of the apartment and down the hall.
Wrapping my head around new fantastic creatures of fairy world. Whom will carry Ferrah off to the fairy realm? Hobgoblin and a Siren and the guard who awaits them at the Ledges? A kobold... yes. Let the new brand of tortore begin. Will Malikai save her again? Will she want to be saved? Death feels so tempting doesn't it?
