What is beautiful? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful is based on what the individual perceives. It is a state of mind. It is the appeal to something, material or immaterial. Something that is beautiful doesn’t always have to be tangible. People can be beautiful on the outside and on the inside, the physical, and the internal. How they look can be thought to be beautiful, as well as how one thinks, and acts. To a person another could look ugly, but to that same person, the other’s point of view, or how they make that person laugh can be beautiful. A brick could be beautiful because there is something meaningful carved into it. A painting can be beautiful because of art work on it, or because of its meaning. A piece of music, or some art, the sky, a thought, an emotion, an action, an animal, or anything else can all be beautiful to someone depending on how they look at it.

Beauty is a word. What matters is what that word is given to. What might be beautiful to one person might not be beautiful to another. Anything can be beautiful to anybody if they want it to be.
