Just a short little entry and then off to bed.

After a positively stressful summer school is back in session! My son in the 8th grade and my daughter in the 7th. So far this first week is going well.

I have only seen my daughter one day this week due to an infestation of a particularly nasty strain of biting sugar ant. When she was very young she was bitten by sugar ants and missed three weeks of school had to take costly medications and still went back to school looking like she was recovering from the measles. I sent her to her best friends for the week, not wanting to go through that hell again.

Happily the ants have been executed...er yeah. It meant spending money we did not have but we managed to buy enough ant killer to get rid of the perimeter colonies and several ant hills, with enough left over to continue to keep them at bay. As soon as I can buy the ingredients I will be making a batch of bait to keep under the house where the dog does not go.

Money troubles are finally easing up but damn it, there is always something that comes up.

Within the next month I hope to get up to the VA for my husbands check up, I think he needs his meds. Also we will be contacting the vet about getting the three spays and the neuter taken care of yeah!

Back to the 12am curfew for me.
