The Keep







It is an airy structure, having several entrances to it on each side it seems almost too surrealistic to be a solid structure. It’s far flung curves and twists of movement, a building that, somehow, just can’t exist but is before you. The heights of the delicate towers seem to touch the stars and the structure itself, seeming to loom large has so many small bits and pieces of divergent architectures that appeal to every imagination. It never seems to cause the viewer any concern as the structure itself seems to calm the nerves and worries. What is it about this diverse and divergent structure that causes near joy and certain calmness in all who view it? No one person can say. It is different for each person viewing and ultimately entering the Keep.







The entrances seem almost like they are not open until one is directly in front of them and then they almost appear as if there is no limit on the opening itself. You can see into the depths of the room or rooms in that particular place. It is a welcoming view that is always presented to each entrance, nothing hidden, no danger of hidden surprises. It shows the entrant what is available to him or her within that place. This is part of the magic of this Keep. To always be open, yet somehow protective as well.







The inhabitants of the various rooms are quite happy to see you, they are ready to serve your every wish, desire and care. They have been doing so and will continue to do so forever, it is their desire. They are slaves to your desires. They cannot do anything to hurt you, they cannot allow anything to hurt you, they always protect their guests, even from each other when the need arises. They are as diverse as the guests who visit. And somehow, as a guest looks through the entrances, the appropriate servers are there. Or not as the guest needs.







The guest wanders into his/her chosen entrance and the feeling of complete serenity, peace, love, joy and care flows, ever so gently into them from unseen sources. Is the Keep doing this? What is happening? The flow, ever so gentle ebbs and flows as the child has need of it’s care. The littlest ones would find themselves in arms of gentle mothers who know and meet every need the child has. They find, many for the first time in their lives, a place of true care, love and acceptance. The Keep knows and senses every persons need for safety, love, care and takes steps to see that each need is met for as long as the person decides to stay.







The only drawback to the Keep’s care of its guests is that while satisfying in many ways, the Keep’s care and interaction seems somehow, limited. One can never put a finger on it but one might say it is lonely within the Keep. Of course, this may simply be because of the human condition. Every human is alone, lives in loneliness and will remain so except for those occasional forays into soul wrenching love. So most guests enjoy the Keep for a time and then visit places and people outside the Keep and it’s sway.







The Keep doesn’t mind. The Keep is simply there for you. The Keep awaits you. The Keep calls you. Won’t you enter its magical embrace, explore its unlimited halls, towers, scenery and joys?
