Love is a "many-splendored thing." It is also the deepest and most exalted of humans feelings. The wings of love carry us up out of ourselves. They take us to wondrous places unimagined; they change us into beings without bounds.The poetry of love is glorious and sweet. Its reality can be more prosaic. Love is not elitist. Anyone is capable of love. Love is build on a structure of giving, the strength of which we may not be willing to give in to. It is a lasting commitment, an obligation that we may feel is beyond us.There have been great songs of praise about love. Remember, "love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hope, always perseveres." How about that for a list of qualities? they are the strong feathers of the wings of love. We fly with them into realms of ecstasy. We fly as high as a human being can go. A life without love is only half a life. We can survive without it, but what a loss to be half happy or half fulfilled. How sad when we could be filled with the glory of love!
