Say you were to take up muay thai you would have to have plenty of cardio and your elbows and knees along shins and abdominals would have to be conditioned meaning they would have to be toughened up along with cardio meaning youd need to jog and get your heart ready for the amount of physical stress it was about to be put through with doing this your body will begin to adapt to the rigorous training and conditioning and once you start actually learning muay thai itll come easily, with learning a martial art it will almost always have a high physical demand for endurance strength and or felxibility or speed now if your in to judo say using your opponents energy and strength against him and just using his momentum for the throws and the chokes then so be it theres not much of a physical demand for such a thing but it is still very important to pick a martial art that will challenge you.

When I chose my art(Kempo) many years ago,weight wasnt in the equasion at all.
