What Is Sleep Apnea?
Sleep apnea is a common disorder that can be very serious. In sleep apnea, your breathing stops or gets very shallow while you are sleeping. Each pause in breathing typically lasts 10 to 20 seconds or more. These pauses can occur 20 to 30 times or more an hou
The most common type of sleep apnea is obstructive sleep apnea. During sleep, enough air cannot flow into your lungs through your mouth and nose even though you try to breathe. When this happens, the amount of oxygen in your blood may drop. Normal breaths then start again with a loud snort or choking sound.
When your sleep is upset throughout the night, you can be very sleepy during the day. With sleep apnea, your sleep is not restful because:
* These brief episodes of increased airway resistance (and breathing pauses) occur many times.
* You may have many brief drops in the oxygen levels in your blood.
* You move out of deep sleep and into light sleep several times during the night, resulting in poor sleep quality.
Um, ya, that is what they say I have. I went Thursday night and had a sleep study done. The second half of the night is when I had times that I stopped breathing. But since it was so late in the night they couldn't put the mask on, so I get the joy of going thru this all again *sigh*
I don't see me wearing that mask to sleep in. I just don't see it...
Oh, but that's not all...
My hip went out *blank stare* So I'm sitting here with an ice pack on it right now. I did go to the dr and he popped it back in. Oh ya! that was fun *NOT!*

What is a heel spur?
A heel spur is a hook of bone that can form on the heel bone (calcaneus) and is associated with plantar fasciitis.
Um, ya, I have a heel spur. I also have something wrong with the tendon in my left foot and the spur is on the right foot. I walk like a 90 yr old woman. It hurts to walk most times and my ankles ache most of the time.
So add all that together and I'm basically falling apart at the seams. I keep telling everyone that if I was a horse they'd shoot me.
I think I'm about as ready as I'll ever be for Christmas...
Presents are pretty much done. I have two more to wrap and that will be the extent of it. It is going to be a very tight Christmas this year.
I keep saying next year will be better. Hopefully this one will be...
Had a huge falling out with Andy a few weeks ago. I was at the ending it all stage. If he would of listen to me and not come home like I told him, it would be over. Because I knew what would happen if he did come home. And sure enough, that is what happen. I'm not going to go into great detail about it. It's pretty much moot. But my trust was once again damaged. I'm working hard at it once again. Seems to be the story of my life. Although today, I've felt rather neglected by him. Guess I'm starting to get used to it *sigh*
My Brianna girl is playing in the floor behind me. She is growing like a bad weed with fertilizer on it *sigh* She is now making sentences and she is good at remember things. Been working on her letters and numbers with her. Trying to get a head start on her learning. Oh, and by the way, she has a brother or sister on the way *blank stare* Um Ya! Quite a shock to me. Although it was a shock to her, she does know how this happens. She needs to find a better form of birth control I guess. This one is due around August. She goes to the doctor next month, so we shall find out more then.
God I feel old!!!
Ya know, I never really thought much about the war in Iraq. But it has hit close to home now. A 22 yr old Soldier from near by was sent there. He had only been there a few days and he was headed home in a box *cries* The brought him home and they had his funeral today. Flags everywhere. Some flying at half staff. His funeral procession was 7 miles long. So by the time the front ones got to the church, the end ones were just leaving town. I could never imagine a procession that long. I just don't get it! I don't think I ever will.
