i started 12th grade, my last year of high school this week. it's already stressful how all we talk about is end of year exams already. i was so sure i knew what university i want to go to, but seeing how many points i would need to get accepted (418 out of the 500 max) is pretty scary... and then i need to find a job, which is well, already hard but most likely harder for me, being an ambulatory wheelchair user.
i'm turning 18 soon (february), yet i still feel 12 sometimes. i always felt pressured to act older, my interests were never as cool as my friends'. i wish i embraced 'being the weird kid' then, i still feel very out of place in my class. i talk to a total of 3 people in my class of 20, these being my boyfriend and two of his friends. 'the quiet kids', one might describe us as.
in better news, i am finally at the age my parents are finally allowing me to get a tattoo. my cousin is a tattoo artist, i'll talk to him soon. i plan to get a crow on the side of my thigh. originally i wanted it on my side, but my cousin told me that would hurt a *lot*, especially for a first tattoo.
questions to those who have tattoos: how many do you have and which place hurt the most for you? do they hold any special meaning? honestly i want a crow because it looks cool, and my favorite movie is 'the crow' (not the new one, i haven't seen that yet).

Good luck on the job, collage. Not a tattoo person, so can't help with that.

I've no words of wisdom to share, but I understand that senior year can be scary. You've already survived 3 years of high school (assuming you're American), just one more year to go! Just remember to take care of yourself and don't stress over your grades or GPA too much. And most importantly, enjoy your youth!! Don't have to worry about adult stuff right away. Most people in their 20s and 30s still struggle with adulting anyways. No pressure. Take it easy. You will survive. :^)
And it's ok if you don't have many friends now. You'll always have a chance to make more. High school's just a small aspect of your life--you still have plenty of time. Plus, it's nicer to have a small, close-knit group of friends rather than a bunch of superficial and toxic ones. I get feeling out of place in school as I was a quiet kid in school, too. Everyone has their clique, making it hard to fit in. I also understand feeling ashamed of your interests, but as long as they make you happy then who cares what you're into!! And it's never too late to embrace your "weird side"! As people on the internet say nowadays: "Cringe culture's dead; be cringe, be free."
Don't know if any of these words will help, but I sincerely wish you good luck!
I also know nothing about tattoos, but a crow tattoo sounds cool. I hope it goes well for you! ^__^
