ROAD TRIP! Yes folks, I'm absolutely insane and heading for another weekend on the road. I feel the need to surprise my LML and show up at Celtic Fling with her all unawares. :p
I was scheduled for an interview at one of the long term care facilities in the area. I find it ironic that my potential employer is Catholic Health Services....anywho... After driving around the place trying to find exactly where it is I go in, tell them who I'm there to see, take a seat and wait. It's obviously shift change and there's lots of people in and out and a few minutes later a lady walks up to me and says, "You must be my interview."
"Yes" I say.
She smiles, "I'm sorry, I'll be right with you."
"No problem." I say
A few more minutes passes and she walks up to me again and says, "I'm so sorry but we're going to have to reschedule. The department of health just walked in and I've got to take care of them."
Damnit, damnit, damnit, (inner dialog of course) "No problem. I totally understand."
So her assistant grabs her calender and reschedules me for next Wednesday. I'm bummed but I really do understand. The health department doesn't schedule their visits and when they walk in you drop everything, (except the patients, don't drop the patients), and give them EXACTLY what they're looking for. Just sucks they decided to walk in at that particular time.
So everyone keep your fingers crossed on Wed around 11am because, I NEED A JOB!

Who's fantastic idea is it that yard work has to be done at 7:30 in the freakin' morning?! That's what I woke up to this morning. A weed whacker going full tilt just outside my window, (which was wide open). Talk about making me jump out of bed...well not quite...but it didn't do much for the sleep I was trying to get.
Meh, It got me up semi-early so I could get started on the day. Needed to clean up the oil mess on the stove from the fried chicken last night. Yum, by the way. Then on to laundry and at some point I have to get over to Target and return some stuff....God I need to get back to work.
I'm hoping for a little time today to go hang beside the pool. I need to work on my tan. :)
These past two weeks have been filled with fun and laughter. Everything has been positively wonderful. If it continues like this it's going to be like one long, happy vacation instead of an actual move and life as per usual.
The last of the company is going home tomorrow. As much as I hate to see them go I've got a gazillion things to get done between 1pm tomorrow and Friday morning.
Have to send out my license application and then pack the rest of my crap. Once Friday rolls around it will be one last road trip before I settle into Buffalo. This time I'm meeting KCRC and DAG in Salem, Mass for a day.
A childhood friend found me on Facebook this weekend and come to find out, she lives in New Hampshire, about and hour and a half away from Salem. Soooo, going to visit her and probably stay the night Sat as we have a ton of catching up to do. The last time I saw her we had each just turned 21 and she was a brand new mom, now she's mom to three!
I'm so excited! This is the last hoorah before reality officially sets in next week. And even reality is having some major bright, happy spots. :D

Buffalo is about as far from reality as you can be without moving to LA or NYC.
Besides, until school starts for you and aside from the job hunting... I think you'll be having some fun here. ;)
Oh yes, there will be fun, if I have to drag you both out kicking and screaming. :p
