How long have I laid upon this beach
Water logged, and unable to breathe
Waves move me further up the shore
I should stand up and find my feet
Brain to muscle message is interrupted
So I lay here with my face in the sand
Wishing the water would take me away
Allow me to be drowned again

Fog blankets the forest floor with mist
As wind sends clouds across the blue
Piling atop one another to a solid sheet
The load of heaven weighs too heavy
Like a ship weighed down in cargo
The skies push over what needn't stay
Water making its way back to earth
Flowing towards the least resistance
Lightened clouds move up and out
Allowing the sun to shine through
Warm smile makes molecules shiver
Transform and move back to the heavens
Time to be up, on, and away
The journey to nourish another plain
