Silence fades the sun is born
Darkness wanes once forlorn.
Touch the sky the heart is bare
Love the wounds for it is rare
Pain echos deep inside
In empty hall the tears abide
Not to see this wounded bird
Cradled in the hand of a small child
Empty tears of pain of years defiled.
Reaching once the hand now fell,
Landing against the cold glass cell.
Locked away behind doors and walls
Within touch ,voice no longer falls.
Spread it's blackend wings,
Singed with loss and sorrow sings.
Before the mirror stood,
Not if they could come but would.
Reaching out a bare fist
Struggling she does twist
Reaching for the key dangled
Just outside her reach entangled
The barest brush her finger paws,
A voice laughs,key withdrawls.
The Light dims and fades
Once more in shadow cascades
Wings fall defeated and bare
Hope forlorned It does tare.
Closing her eyes she waits
the sun rises she debates.
You tell me of a place where there is no hate
A place where they are so many like us with this fate.
Spoke of a place we could call home,
Be welcomed with opened arms, never alone.
Whispered fancifully of brethren who stood strong,
After all those stories I wondered for so long.
Places where the gifted were still loved
Where we didnt have to hide and keep our touch gloved.
Not locked away behind walls of ice and steel
A place where we were allowed to feel.
I seen this place once at your side,
And yet with you I swore it died.
That world is full of politics and lables,
Of power plays, squabbles and fables.
I see the light you thought you saw,
I touched the glass and burnt out raw.
A few I found and still I hear your words,
Those like us with dreams not for birds.
Dare I reach and see if it is glass,
WIll it shatter only to impale my heart at last?
No more stories and no more lies,
In the end , will it be i who dies.
I sit in the shadows my palm against the glass,
Silently I watch as the images amass.
Promises of no more pain and no more hate,
To leave this world behind the great debate.
Crimson droplets paint the ground,
silence echoing the only left sound.
To feel once more I shatter the glass
Felt the shards penetrate deep at last.
I am flawed, but the flaws are beautiful in and of themselves
I am broken but the breaks are pure and razor sharp
and the scarlet flows from my woundsin a scarlet flood
Only to shatter on the cold desolate ground below.
Promises of no more wounds, no more fear
No more loss of everything I've held dear.
The end of Razor tears and caste asides,
To drink from the golden cup and chose sides.
I sit in the shadows my back against the wall
So much blood it all once did fall.
To drink from the golden cup and face defeat,
becuase only poison could be that sweet.
Razor tears for marble faces, never seen the lines it traces,
From the outside she's as cold as ice, she's their stone giver of
advice One more loss and one more heartbreak, one more dead what can
she take To numb a thousand unfallen tears.
One more smile and another mask,Another fake laugh and they wont ask
One more to save and the demons play, another healed who really can't
stay One more chuckle and one more coy look, One more debate and one
more book, One more day that she'll never look back. One morelove that
left and wont come back one , One more day to face, One more wound to
heal that leaves no trace. One more path she has to walk, another
political talk. One more race and one more fight, One more saved
don't need the light.
She's raised her pack her children grown, The only way she's ever
known. Lifts her chin her gaze is strong, they can't see her worlds
gone wrong. One more loss and one more heartbreak, one more dead what
can she take. To numb a thousand unfallen tears.
One more flicker of flame and one more manipulative game, One more
line to talk and one more talk to walk. Another smile and one more
rule to abide, One more compition and they'll never see it's killing
her inside.
The stolen child by heather alexander
(Come away, human child To the water
Come away, human child To the water and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand
For the worlds more full of weeping than you can understand)
Where dips the rocky highland Of sleuth wood in the lake
There lies a leafy islandWhere flapping herons wake
The drowsy water rats; There weve hid our faery vats
Full of berries And of reddest stolen cherries
(chorus)
Where the wave of moonlight glosses The dim gray sands with light
Far off by furthest rosses We foot it all the night
Weaving olden dances Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight; To and fro we leap
And chase the frothy bubbles While the world is full of troubles
And is anxious in its sleep
(chorus)
Where the wandering water gushes From the hills above glen-car
In pools among the rushes The scarce could bathe a star
We seek for slumbering trout And whispering in their ears
We give them unquiet dreams; Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears Over the young streams
(chorus)
Away with us hes going The solemn-eyed:
Hell hear no more the lowing Of the calves on the warm hillside;
Or the kettle on the hob Sing peace into his breast
Or see the brown mice bob Around and around the oatmeal-chest
For he comes, the human child To the water
He comes, the human child To the water and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand
From a world more full of weeping than he can understand
Human child Human child With a faery, hand in hand
From a world more full of weeping than he can understand...
Than he can understand... He can understand...
