Main Street Bridge
When she finally got to the center of the bridge she felt as though the wind would blow her away. She felt hollow and cold like a ghost.
As she gazed down into the filthy St. John's River the lights from the bridge twinkled in the water. They reflected the Murderville Skyline at night and shined in the disguisting water like Christmas. It shimmered and sparkled.
She stepped over the railing and once again the wind picked up and made her feel hollow inside. She thought about how comforting the crushing weight of the water would be as she sank like a peice of trash to the dark slimey bottom. The shimmering lights warmed her heart enough to give her courage.
She knew that she was high enough up thather heart would burst when she hit the water. How poetically fitting to die from a broken heart.
She let go of the railing and stretched her arms out, falling into the night, waiting to hit the water. It was like being born. Until she hit... what did she hit? There was a pain in her ribs and as she was caught and actually yanked upwards through the air by something around her waist. Up, up, and up they went. The bridge looked small bellow. Suspended in midair looking down held in an iron grip she realized hands around her waist.
Now she was kind of scared looking down. The archangel Micheal with his fiery sword had grabbed her! she was sure of it! Now what? Drop her from higher up so she'll die for sure? She was slowly and carefuly turned around in that iron grip.
She found herself face to face with him and she put her arms around his neck clinging to him. Strands of his blonde hair caressed her face.
He had no wings or fiery sword. but he most deffinately was not human. His white skin seemed to shimmer in the moonlight as if diamonds were underneth. She was frozen in midair locked in his grip and locked staring into those so unhuman eyes.
"Theres a choice..."; he told her,"and she followed his gaze towards the water. Which no longer looked so beautiful and shimmery compared to him.;" Or you can die in my arms with me and be born again into darkness."
Suddenly she recognized him.;" Saint Lestat! You heard my prayers! You came to slay the evildoers? You, I chose you!!! I chose to die in your arms. Give me your silver kiss." She bravely ran her fingers over his lips which he parted for her to show his perfectly fanged teeth. She touched even the tips of his fangs and they were very sharp.
Lestat opened up his long flowing jacket and pulled her close against his body wrapping the jacket around her tucking her inside. She was already naturally as cold as a corpse. She felt so hollow to him. Maybe she really was dieing of a broken heart.
She kissed him ever so lightly on his lips from pure adoration and he tasted her tears. He took her higher into the night sky. the bridge became a pinpoint of light and the stars became brighter. The clouds parted from the moon and his unnatural skin shimmered even more. He noticed how her mortal skin absolutely glowed in the moonlight also. She was already so beautiuful how could his dark gift make her any more beautiful? He noticed her teary blue eyes change to green and he couldn't wait to see what gifts his dark blood would bestow upon her.
One stray tear slid from her cheek and then she yeilded entirely to his kisses on her cold neck. then came the sting of his fangs peircing skin and she gave in entirely. she didn't care anymore what happened. She really did want to die in his arms.
She held tightly to him until stars above began to spin and she became consumed by the black velvet sky above.
