I keep trying to teach them but they don't seem to listen; half of the people who get into duels lose.
I was told something about myself that was meant to be constructive criticism, I think, but I took as a compliment.
I was told by a competitor that I “don’t have the moral flexibility to make it in this industry”.
Moral flexibility. Is that what they’re calling it now when your integrity is for sale? When you are willing to take your clients for a ride instead of providing professional services in their best interest? Or even letting the client take shortcuts that you know are legally wrong?
I’m proud of the fact that I have turned down work that would force me to compromise my integrity. I stand behind every piece of work out there that has my name on it. My reputation is my meal ticket. Most of the work I do is repeat work for clients and work referred by other clients.
I may not have the moral flexibility to compete with some of the other consulting firms in the area, but even if my business goes under I will have a clear conscience.
