Through glassy eyes

The words warp on the screen

Words I didn’t want to read

Words I would never want to read

But I knew this day would come

When I would read

The world of another

Has crashed around her

For a friend

Her time has come

Too young, too quick

And such a future so certain

But no knowledge could prepare

And no words can comfort

When only time can heal

Time to live

Time to love

Time to remember with a smile

And perhaps the morning sun

Can dry these weeping eyes
