They ran out of rum.
This is quite distressing.
How could I drink the whole plane out of rum?!?!?!?!
So I return home from the week's travels, again through a snow storm... drove out in a snow storm, it was nice while we were out there working, and then decided to storm again when we had to drive back.
Just like my drives to and from Cleveland the previous weeks....
Anyway, I headed to the new house last night to shovel out the driveway and get my truck driveable. As my shoulder and back began to ache from the shoveling I took a break and checked the mail...
...in the mail was a large envelope from the City Assessor's office.
I just got a negative feeling about this from the start.
So I took it inside, turned on some lights and opened the envelope.
It's a notice... well, in summary, bascially stating that they can't transfer title to my name because the previous owning banks had the property dimensions incorrect on all their transfer deeds.
Bottom line is.. I still don't officially own the damn thing.
These banks suck. They transfered ownership from bank to bank to bank over the course of 3 months after it went into foreclosure, never registering a single title transfer with the county or city, and because they screwed this up I still don't have full ownership of the house.
My lawyer is on it.
But... FEH.
