I was online today talking to my friend from Columbus. He always gives me the heads up on my favorite hockey player, anyway, Fedorov's contract is up after this season, rumor is, he's going to retire...NOW WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? So not ready for his retirement:(

Today would have been my sister's 38th birthday.



She passed away when she was a baby having the same blood disease as I but it was fatal for her.

Kaleigh's team had a volleyball tournament this morning. They took 3rd out of 3 teams but they did play well for only being 5th and 6th graders. The other two teams were 7th and 8th graders.



My daughter's personal performance(and yeah I'm going to brag, I'm a proud parent) was totally awesome. She scored 3 points on just her serves alone and then she hit the balls and scored an additional 4 pts..that's pretty good for a girl, who last year couldn't serve well and always ducked.



I helped her out this summer with serving and bumping. She has setting down. They aren't allowed to spike which is good, most can't reach over the net anyway.





We came home today and the dog went spastic, like she hadn't seen us in years. It was so funny.

Then my daughter went next door. Rayne(the dog) wanted out so I let her out. For the last 20 minutes this dog has had her ass planted in the same spot staring at the neighbor's house waiting for Kaleigh to get home. I finally called Rayne inside and now as I am writing this, she is sitting in front of the window whining looking for Kaleigh. It's cute...

Kaleigh is my daughter. It seems that I hardly mention her but it's not that I don't want to write about her, she doesn't do anything wrong but then she's only 11:)



Kaleigh is an honor roll student. She came in second place in the spelling bee last year and went all the way to county.



She plays volleyball and isn't much into boys as of yet. I dread that day!!



I just wanted to put something in my journal about her too. I really love that my daughter likes some of the same things as I do and I bet that when she's of age, she'll be on this site too, I just ask in advance that you be respectful towards her:)

My Blue Jackets finally won a game. I was getting worried there...

I am having one of those I should have stayed in bed days.



It all started this morning when I got Marcus up for school. Oh it started great. I did the dishes, cleaned the stove, swept and mopped the kitchen floor, and even made Marcus tea for his sore throat. Off he went to school.



I turned on the tv to catch the weather and guess what, my television doesn't work. I have a warranty and the guy will be here to fix it tomorrow.



So I decided to do the laundry and clean, clean, clean but no, today the Goddess just decided to have fun with me. I am laughing here because it's really pointless to be mad.



The phone rings, I had to find the damn thing, KIDS...I tell ya. I found the phone, answered it, and got two sentences in when the damn thing just died. I need to stop using a cordless phone.

So the person calls me on my cell phone. That died after 5 minutes. By this time, I'm looking up at the sky, mentally talking to the Lord and Lady, and saying out loud, doesn't anyone know how to charge anything around here?



I then walked over to the dog because she wanted to play and ZAP. I got my answer. I got shocked and damn if it didn't tingle.

I guess that was their way of saying, ZA be careful what you wish for, it might not be exactly what you think but something completely different...It put me in check for the day! :)

Well it's been a while since I've written anything or even been on here. I have had so much going on in my personal life that I just couldn't take the time to actually sit here and type let alone earn favor. Sometimes life throws you a curve ball and it's up to you how you catch the damn thing.



Things are calmed down here now and I have some free time.



It's really cold here and it sucks!! I am thinking that after school, I'll move to a warmer climate. Probably not!! I love the snow just not the extremely frigid cold.



School is going great. It's just lots of work:)



The Colts won the Super Bowl which gave me a boost of happiness today. Way to go guys!!
