Why do people think....

I am so hard to please? Really? I am a very simple creature, with not many more needs than the rest of the human population. It is the very simple things in life that please me like....

The simple pleasure of a microwave! After recently moving, re-heating in our house has consisted of low oven temperature and making sure whatever it is to be reheated, is juicy. Trying to avoid cardboard-like structures isn't always easy on re-heat.

Thanks to a family member, we now have a wave of micros and I can enjoy the simple pleasure of something I never realized how much, until recently, I was dependent on.

Can you say lots of butter microwave popcorn!!

Out with the old...

Normally I am not one to chronicle life events, especially on a daily basis. I mean really how exciting can another’s day to day happenings be unless they are a celebrity, and even at times that crap is overkill. However, I have read several journals on VR and blogs from other sites and I have come to several conclusions that justify for me, reasons to jump on the bandwagon.

Journaling gives insight to the writer, adding a deeper perspective of who is really behind the keys. Even the most private of individuals will reveal themselves bit by bit, mostly unintentionally once their thoughts take over the keys. The biggest factor; it allows self-expression in unlimited ways. Does the writer feel the need to take a stand or make a point about something they feel strongly about? Perhaps they want to just brag about their family and friends. Maybe they need to give a shout out to themselves and want to scream it off the rooftops. Or maybe it’s as simple as they just want to reiterate how much they love their cat.

The reasons to journal about oneself are as countless as the number of words one entry may contain. I have sat here for days and have fast-forwarded the last month, hell the last year actually, of my life and I regret I never brought them to this journal. At the time it was all actually happening to me? I felt it too personal to display it in public. I was too hurt, too confused and too desolate then moved to too pissed. I think if I had no one too absolutely share it all with, I may have chronicled the last year though. Since I can’t go back, I can move forward and journal bits & pieces of the past and my evolution to the now and future.

I’m not religious, let’s get that out of the way for all future arguments, but my Nana, always quoting lil snippets of life, was one to believe ‘God only gives you what you can handle’. However, over the last year? I could only keep asking myself, “when is enough, enough?” Does this mean I was a stronger person than even I realized? No. For every negative, there’s a positive. That’s what they say. I just had to wait longer for things to get better.

With that said, this shall start my utilization of this little tool called a journal. Don’t expect stories of grandeur all the time. Hell, most times? It will be rambling from the deepest or what I call darkest part of my mind. Offsite, I am writer, mostly in poetic form, but chronicling life events is quite different for the person I am. I hope you may enjoy some of the humor, the sadness, the jubilation and sometimes not so coherent ramblings that may enter my VR diary.
