What's wrong with admitting you are wrong???
Ten years ago today, I was teaching a class of third graders. A friend texted me telling me about the attack. I didn't turn the tv on in the classroom because I wasn't sure that was something I wanted a class of children to see. We did have a lot of parents begin checking their kids out of school that day. After school, we received an email telling us that we were NOT to discuss the events of 9/11 with our students because it was the parents responsibility of how to approach such a topic with their children.
However, within a week, I had students bringing posters to school that they had made to honor those who had died on September 11th. We put them up in our room and left them up for quite a while. I did send a note home the following week asking parents for permission to discuss the events of 9/11 with my students. They had so many questions and so much they just didnt understand. Not to say that I knew all the answers or that I understood completely, but to a class full of students, they thought teachers knew everything.
We did discuss it in class and although I didn't and still dont have all the answers, I hope that those students that I taught ten years ago, remember the events of that day and that they hold dear in their hearts those things which make America what it is.
The patriotism that the United States shared after the events of 9/11 was something that myself and my class held weekly discussions on. Whereever those students are today, I hope they remember and hold true to all of the things we discussed and experienced that year.
Dear Mother Nature,
I do appreciate the cooler temperatures and the rain has surely help us to get past the drought that has so plagued us here in South Louisiana. However, I think that I speak for many when I say, we have had enough rain. Please send the rest to Texas. I have too much on my plate at the current time to deal with a flood.
Thank you!

I see nothing wrong with it. If i'm wrong I admit it.
To me it's part of learning something new every day.

I totally agree! Admit your mistakes, learn from them, and accept what comes after it.
