What defines a relaxing weekend? To me, it's just a weekend where I can say that I have successfully completed everything put before me.
I have cleaned house, gone grocery shopping, washed clothes, graded papers, done lesson plans, made centers, helped both children with their homework, cooked supper and dessert, graded writing notebooks, watched a movie with the kids, bought new clothes, and still managed to level up yet again in VR. Overall, its been a busy busy weekend yet fulfilling.
The only undone thing on my agenda is that I have not yet gone to see the movie Easy A. I really, really hope to see it soon.
Today has been one of those days where I question just about everything. I started out having a good day and then it gradually went downhill. My grandmother had her second cataract surgery this morning at 7 am. God bless the old people but shes one of those cranky, cantankerious, mean old people that people just hate to see coming. She got started on the nurses this morning before her surgery so of course they come to me. They didnt fair much better of course. I dont like being dictated to by others and I politely told them so. They expect people to revolve around their schedule and ya know...sometimes that just doesnt happen. Then I get back to work only to find out that everyone, once again, needs something. I had to tell people back up...give me space. I had to tell people...how many of me do you all see? Cause I only know one of me and Im busy so come back later.
My class misbehaved, my boss wants stuff, my coworkers want stuff. Then, when the work day is done...do I get to sit down and take care of what I need to do? NOPE....daughter has to be picked up from volleyball practice. I get home to the other child screaming shes hungry and needs help with homework. How much can one person take?
A friend of mine called to talk to me. She told me "God doesnt give you more than you can handle." Well, here's my message to God..... I have MORE than enough to handle right now. Please give the rest to someone else. Amen!!
It's a long weekend and I must say...so far, Ive enjoyed it tremendously. Sure, I have some work things to do but it's been one of the most relaxing weekends that Ive had in a while. I've done the usual house cleaning, grocery shopping, and such. Ive also had time to sit down and relax, play on the wii with my kids, enjoy some computer time, watch some movies, and work on some puzzles. I hope that I have more weekends like this in the future. It's been quite a while between them as it is.
I also got a call from a friend of mine. He's coming into town in about two weeks and wants to meet up for some supper and drinks. Im looking forward to that also. It's been about a year since Ive seen him. He's coming down because his son's wife is due with their first baby. Overall, I have no complaints or grips for a change. Wow, isnt that a nice feeling!

I have the absolute worst sinus issues ever. I've tried most over the counter medicines and even some herbal sprays. I wish I knew of something to do to help with my sinuses. I cant breathe and i sound like I'm sick. I have sinusitius so its pretty much a constant. If anyone knows of something I can try that might work, please please pleaseeeeeeee let me know. I can't stand it anymore. Sinuses pressure combined with migraines equals NOT fun.
