One things that knowing history would prepare us for the future. It is sad today that many of those whom I have known for what seems a lifetime both by blood and bond, I would not trust with the location of Anne Franks Family. Nor would One trust them now with any personal information about marginalized groups in the Americas at this time. Yet Me and Mine would be the first to hide those persons.

Children of unending night,
Creep towards an eternal light.
Trapped by towers reaching up,
The fighting is not quite enough,

As the shadow’s creeps across the ground,
The children gather all around.
Hoping on buried dreams hidden out of sight,
Glancing to see the rotting flesh taken in midflight.

The children see and grant their needs,

We are the child of unending night,

We bring the wonder and the pains.

Making the rounds once again, tested and drained, it is official my lungs are reduced once more.

Feeling depleted.

Unfastening the bolt keeping me caged, I throw wide the door and step out into the crisp moonlight.
Raising my face to the vaults of the universe, a pause, breathing into my being the gale twisting and dancing around me.
I am enlightened as the winds of change lift me from the ground, as I join in union in the dance.
