After 20 years of discomfort, inconvenience, increasing pain and being fobbed off by doctors - I finally have the date for an operation to get my carpal tunnel released. Feb 11.



It sounds like such a minor thing, it's only a 10 minute keyhole surgery under local anaesthetic, but after 20 years of not being able to handwrite more than a few words or do the washing up or my makeup or pretty much anything with my hands without agonising pain, it'll be such a relief.

Alestorm are touring with Sabaton and Bloodbound, and they're in Manchester on 27th Feb! Fuck yes I'm going to that.

I just noticed that the filtering on my avatar makes it look like there's a shadow figure lurking behind me...

Tell it to go get you a soda, or money. If it is there, I say make yourself useful....lol... Thats what I told my stepdaughter about the weird occasional telekinesis bouts that occur on occasion.

It's actually a coat on the banister, nothing quite so cool as a spirit. Much less one that can do anything useful :)

I just realised that the only way I'm keeping track of what day it is, is by the regular meeting notifications I'm getting through my work account on my phone. I just had the notification pop up for my weekly 1 to 1 with my manager, and thought "oh it must be Friday". I'm back at work on Monday, this 11 day Christmas break has gone by so fast. I dread to think what state my AdWords accounts will be in when I get back..
